my Norton Virus has a pop up window that comes up saying "Urgent Attention" Click now to repair selected items. i click the "Fix Now" button it goes to fix the problem but then its back to the original pop up window saying 'Urgent Attention"



How do i fix?

A, unless an easier way comes along try:
1/ Either telephone, create a support log or whatever they do(Norton) or
2/ Remove Norton completely and re-download it from the Norton disk.
If no disk, have Norton re-load it for you.

Im pretty sure i have a virus. I contacted Norton and they wanted $99 to talk to a tech rep and fix the problem. Told them hell no so he directed me to another site to maybe fix the problem.

Why would you uninstall Norton?



For some reason i scanned all the files and there were no viruses. Then i ran spy sweeper and there was one cookie that was dangerous. I quarantined it and deleted it then went to the pop up that i had to fix, clicked on "Fix Now" and it worked. Dont ask me what i did.
