My son plays high school ball. He had a game tonight where they were suppose to get blown out. The team they played were from a much tougher conference. They held tough and lost in the last 2 minutes 13-12. Hell of a game.
So, I was talking to my son afterwards about how he did. He is the center and he held his own for the 1st qtr. After that he went to the chop block one to many times and started getting beat after the other team figured it out. They had there linebacker lining up across from him on the line. My son even says this kid was extremely good. Strong and fast. The other kid would do the swim move over the top of my son and would get by because my son says he didnt know how to counter that move. We talked for awhile and came to the conclusion that there must be a way to counter this. When he was in wrestling he learned that for every move your opponent made there was always a move that could stop it. So we were thinking maybe the same philosiphy might apply here. Any suggestions??
On a side note..I gave him a lot of credit for trying his best and for him giving credit to the other kid for being good.
