Almost any of the on-line places offer free play tables, HOWEVER this is no where near a realistic place to learn as people will play any and everything on every hand. Honestly better to make a small deposit and play the lower limit games, still people will play bad hands and chase rediculous draws, but it is better than play tables. Read Lee Jones book "Winning Low Limit Hold Em" if your playing stakes below 10/20

Theres also a great program called Wilsons Turbo Texas Holdem, available online and from, I think, gamblers book store online. Great program, many levels of play, and a tutor function.

The two places I use to play at were paradisepoker.com and partypoker.com. I would suggest you stay away from the 50cent dollar games if you actually want to become a better player.

Scott4USC,

I heard about the turbo Texas hold em program before but was skeptical about its ability to improve a players skills. Could you tell me if the program for turbo hold em has artificial intelligence that is capable of learning or is it just a complex algorithm that never changes?

Thanks
