I pulled the trigger and took Nets ML -235 over Boston tonight.

I think its obvious why I am taking Nets to win SU.

Pinny already has Nets -5 -110 and EVERYBODY is on Nets ATS tonight. I expect the line to move and I am gonna go for middle. So I am def. gonna buy back my bet later today.

scott, take a look at the 4th q lines at olympic for the game. nets -1/2 (-110). last night the celtics played their entire bench the 4th quarter and were dominated. celt's coach said he'd do the same thing tonight. think this is a great opportunity for a win. i'll take kidd/carter vs rookies/bench players anyday.

far more often than not, i agree with your wagers. but i think the moneyline bet is a terrible play.

both cleveland and new jersey are grossly overpriced tonight (for obvious reasons)

youre betting on what you THINK doc rivers is gonna do -- and laying more than 2/1 at that. and even if he does sit some guys, youre still looking at boston's main guys playing 2 to 2.5 quarters. its not like the nfl where the eagles played mcnabb one series, go 3-and-out, and then would mail in the rest of the game.

id tend to agree with hoopsguru. i can easily see boston building a 6-8 point lead through 3 quarters and then doc letting his young guys try and hold that lead.

if new jersey comes into boston and wins the game wire to wire, id be very shocked.

my honest opinion is that both cleveland and new jersey win tight games. but both teams losing would not be shocking either. sure cavs and nets are desperate, but neither team has an easy game tonight.

4th quarter bet seems solid but what if the Nets have big lead going into the 4th.

I like the Nets winning this game even if Boston plays everyone. I love betting on teams in must win situations. This is a must win game for Nets. To top it off, Boston isn't going to play their starters in 4th. I think Nets are better than Cavs. Cavs beat Boston and Boston is playing the same gameplan they did against Cavs. Lafrentz and Payton for Boston are sitting out tonight. Nets really suck if they lose tonight. Only way I lose, is if Nets lose. Nets are trying to win my bet! Thats the way I like it.

I will say worst case scenario this game goes down to wire and I have 50/50 shot in winning it. But then again, if this game does go down to wire, the Boston starters aren't playing against the Nets starters.

Therefore, I am betting Nets ML BIG! Hoping the team who MUST win will beat the team who isn't sending out their best team. Even if Boston played their starters and nobody sits, I think Nets would still have 50/50 shot in winning it.

Lastly, I wouldn't make this large type of bet if I didn't win 3k on Cards 2 days agp and $500 with Masters etc etc (and some other winners I won but didn't post). I am playing with house money on this and pushing it to the limit. If I lose, then I prob. cool it for a while cuz nobody likes losing and worst thing to do is chase. But Nets aren't going to lose tonight! If I have not won so much $$$, I prob. have $235 to win $100 wager on Nets. My average wagers are between $10-$200.

I think this is solid bet and worth risking BIG $$$ on it. I hope Doc Rivers is a man of his word!


Nets are now -5.5 so looks like I might get a nice middle especially if Boston ends up being +5.5 +102 at Pinny . Gonna wait it out some more before I buy back my 2k Boston -4.5 -110 wager.

I think the Cavs will win. But what if Nets are winning BIG (which I am hoping) early in game against Boston? Toronto is not a good team and Cavs should win. If Cavs played 3 hours before Nets, I might have pounded Cav's ML.

I think 2-team ML parlay Cavs and Nets is pretty solid and I considered doing that. But I am sticking with Nets only because they control their own destiny. WIN and they are IN. On top of that, WIN against scrubs in 4th quarter, they are IN.


$$$$$ really going on Nets. I can buy Boston down to 4.5 and make $80 profit guaranteed if either team wins. You can make good $$$ scalping/middling. Provided you know where the $$$ are going. Right now Boston is +5.5 -101 :clap:

That last sportscenter did the trick. Now everyone knows Boston is resting their players and pounding Nets.

Celtic backups are all hustlers and will give great effort. They are also pretty talented. This is a deep team. I think if the backups play, the Nets are probably in more trouble. The starters would be willing to pitch it in while the backups will give it their all in their last significant minutes of the season.

guys, this has become a hated rivalry the last few years,the nets knocked the celtics out of the playoffs 2 years in a row and that lays heavy on the celtics minds.also much hatred for jason kidd,i still can hear the fans chanting wife beater.i see the celtics wanting this game bad.also toronto does not want to see vince carter make the playoffs ,the players or organization,i heard that on talk radio today.he more or less cashed it in while playing for the raptors.looks like toronto is laying down.plus the nba wants lebron james.

The players who are killing the Nets weren't part of the rivalry. Celtics are just shooting lights out and mostly from backup role players. I feel sorry for Nets and my ML bet. :mj07:
