The Nets HATE the Knicks.
They feel like they are second class citizens, and said
last year that they will dominate them every time they play.
How do I know this ?
Well - last game of the season...last April
Nets drop one to Detroit then goto the Garden to play
the Knicks. I figure they would lay down because they
already had home court and playoffs wrapped up.
NOOOOOOOOOOO !
They played the starters most of the game and beat them.
Couldn't believe it !
Trend Notes:
Since 1996 Nets after a 10 point loss are 74-43
With this Knowledge..I'm picking the Nets will win.
They are more than capable of going into the Garden
and sticking it to the Knicks.
Bigger team gets it done.
The only thing that worries me is that the Nets free throw
shooting is horrid....especially Richard Jefferson.
I have yet to see him hit two clutch free throw in the 4th quarter.
Anyway..Knicks have trouble guarding quick point guards.
And with the bigger interior Knicks won't penetrate where they
are second to last in attempted free throws in the NBA
(Last is the Miami Heat)
So with that in Mind....Unless the Knick shoot the crap out of the ball...the Nets should pound them at the hole.
