Comparing Pinnacle with CRIS will not work very well because Pinnacle deals an eight cent line and CRIS deals a 20 cent line.

Example:

CRIS
-120 Favorite +100 Dog
Pinnacle
-120 Favorite +112 Dog

I don't know what Carib deals.

Let's assume we are looking at stores that deal 10 cent action. That is why I said three cents because for the most part I am comparing Pinnacle to 10 cent lines at these places.

DelMar
Grande
WIT
NAB
Hollywood
Cascade
ABC Island
RIO Island
SkyBook
Jazz
Spors Market
Leroy's
Excalibur
Stardust

Let's assume to keep it simple that all the above stores had their line at -120 on the favorite it would look like this.

-120 Favorite +110 Dog (On above stores)
-117 Favorite +109 Dog (Pinnacle)

If Pinnacle is three cents cheaper on the favorite they are inviting action on the favorite and effectively avoiding action on the dog because the +110 is more attractive than the +109. That might not be much for a $100 player, but Pinnacle will take huge action by phone. (50,000 and up) That one cent amounts to a lot of bread to syndicate buyers. That is why when Pinnacle is three cents cheaper than all of the 10 cent stores listed above I will play the other side. It is just a matter of following the smart money.

It isn't quite as simple as I described it above because the targets are always moving. Pinnacle doesn't make their line available to any of the electronic line services that I am aware of so you have to just camp out on their site and refresh the lines every few minutes. Then it takes time to manually compare the fresh Pinnacle numbers with the other numbers. It is a lot of work and it does not generate a lot of plays, but when it does they are usually pretty good.

, thats what im doing , gets kinda frustrating , these lines are jumping every 2 mins i refresh, have to basically wait right up until game time huh?

It gets really wild as game time approaches . . . especially when four or five games post at the same time. The offshores start moving around like crazy. You need to have a real time line service to keep up with them. Then all you have to do is manually get the Pinaccle numbers and compare them. There are several realtime line services, but they can be kind of pricey. I use Don Best, but I have heard G & J Update out of Vegas has one at a fraction of Don Best's prices.

I used to use Island Express when they only had a two minute delay and it still worked pretty good and was free, but now Island Express is delayed by 15 minutes and that won't work.

Philly is close, but Sports Market has the Mets at -122 with Philly at +112. Still, most of the stores have the Mets at -130.

Makes Philly look pretty good. I sure don't think I would jump on the Mets.

I agree there , even with the stats pointing toward Reed in terms of starting pitching ive learned to never take Starting Pitching as your most dominant tool:d, one play that doeds stand out to me and i just layed 2X on is ATL.

Antonio,

There hasn't been any clear plays tonight. I am passing, but with all respect for Visionary (love his posts) . . . be very careful jumping on Baltimore tonight. Do you see why?

Pinnacle is at +119 on Baltimore. That is better than all bu one place I see and Pinnacle doesn't give away money. They want you to bet Baltimore. I am not playing it at all.

Sorry for the delayed response. Just took the better half out to dinner.

Lets look at Seattle first.

Best line I see on Seattle is -185. Interestingly enough you can also get the Royals for as much as +185.

Pinnacle is -188 back to +178. Nothing there.

Best you can get on LOS that I see is -133 and the best you can get on the back side is +130. Pinnacle is -138 on Los Angeles and +130 on Colorado. I would play Los Angeles if Pinnacle went to +133 and everyone else was +130 or less, but I would not even consider Colorado. Pinnacle is giving as much as anyone on the Rockies and that would keep me from playing Colorado at all.

After looking at some other stuff and also seeing fletcher on the Dodgers combined with what I said above I think the Dodgers are a play.

Good luck.
