the amount of major League players that cannot sacrifice bunt.
1st & 2nd 0 out in 8th inning of a 3-2 game, offerman cannot square around properly, terrible bat angle & can't get job done. After 2 Gross attempts at sacrifice, with 2 strikes swings away into double play. This guy came up as a shortstop, played 2nd with Kansas City & Boston, now he is a OCCASIONAL DH because he can't field. Boston paying a middle infielder that can't field or sacrifice bunt 7 million, and the players Union wants a strike. LoL

Isn't this the same guy, that refused to sacrifice either earlier this season or at spring training, and was sat down for a game for not doing so. Should tell you something.

It is true that Offerman couldn't bunt today, last night he was in almost the same situation and couldn't pull it off then either. But this leads me a question, why not pinch hit for the stiff in that situation?

GUYS I HAD BOSTON TODAY AND THOUGHT THEY WOULD ATLEAST TIE THE GAME UP IN THE 8TH....1ST AND 2ND NO OUT...AS FAR AS OFFERMANS BUNT ATTEMPTS....IVE SEEN LITTLE LEAGUERS BUNT BETTER THAN HIM.....I DONT BLAME IT ON OFFERMAN.....I BLAME IT ON HIS MANAGER.....1ST HE SHOULDVE BEEN PINCH HIT FOR AND 2ND HE SHOULD BE TAUGHT HOW TO BUNT.....OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL THE DUMB-ASS CAN GET IT RIGHT....AND HE DOESNT PLAY UNTIL HE DOES......GEE, HE MIGHT HAD TO PUT IN SOME OVERTIME TO ACCOMPLISH THIS.....IM SURE THE PLAYERS UNION WOULDNT ALLOW THAT.....WHAT A JOKE!!
I DONT MIND LOSING A PLAY BUT GEEZ THAT WAS HORRIBLE.
