Gents,
Ive been a lexus owner for ten years. However in the med sales game I basically drive for a living. Lexus makes a great car but as much as I drive I am just ruining them... My Es350 has finally gone kaput.. However I drove it for over 5 yrs and put damn near 200,0000 miles on it with basically no problems until now.

Any recommendations for a non luxury car that I can just beat the shit out of but has an engine that will drive and drive without issue?

Thanks

My son is on his 2nd Prius. 55 mpg in the city. It has all the toys, it's pretty cool. My next car might be a Hybrid?

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Mazda 3 5 door

Mazda 3 5 door

Brother in law in sales has one.
TONS of room, comfy neat car in person. He claims 38mpg 29 in city...pretty bullet proof technology (he drives 40,000 miles a year).
He paid $26k or so for it.

I've had a bare bones 2014 Infiniti Q50s since December.
The sport suspension is not for everyone.
Drove it to Vegas, comfort for us, spacious, plus tons of power, 28 mpg highway, 20 in town.

I did test drive the Q50 hybrid, power, 35+mpg, just too many unneeded tech features for me.

Infiniti will deal....the Q50 is new, and there are some minor bugs....the info center takes a full minute to load up.
There was a recall for an air bag indictor light.
BUT the mechanics are very solid...carry over potent 320hp 3.7 liter engine from the Infiniti G and M series and Nissan z cars series cars.

The new 2015 Hyundai Genesis looks very sweet...

Ask Pasprint- he will tell you hands down Toyota. I have a Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander is my next ride. Yes you are correct also that a Toyota and Lexus are the same thing- one is just higher class than the other but they are all made with the same parts. :0074

I travel and cover 5 states, put around 30,000-40,000 miles per year and needed a 4 wheel drive being that I cover snow states living in MPLS. Toyota Venza was my choice and I love it. It is basically a Highlander 4WD, that is not as tall. The same system and underpinnings. I only get around 25MPG HWY but it is AWD, 19-22 City. I find the road noise a little loud, but the sound system is very good. Sheets comfortable and being a larger man, comfortable seat position.

I also have a Suburban Extended, and I prefer my Venza for comfort. Both are loaded models, so fair comparison in trimmings.

Come get my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe then...:mj07:

Mechanically sound, road noise a bit higher than it should be--but terrible gas mileage!

Lucky to get 24 on the hwy--and I notice the winter blend of gas lowers the MPG to 20....

We live in a small town and are 25 miles to the two larger cities where we work.
Bought it for the extra backseat room for our two kids, ages 7 and 6.

Its only got 76K on it and I bought it with cash as I do all my vehicles, then drive them until they die.
This car may be the 1st one I dump at 100K.

I travel a bit for work and when I need to be out overnight, I grab my wife's 2010 Camry. 35 on the highway, great sound system, leather seats, moon roof and heated seats make for a nice ride :0074
I'll let me wife decide on what she wants to drive for her next car and make the Camry mine....
