Some days, it looks like it!
No, actually I do have a system I use, a power rating and current form basis that derives a "line" on each game... when my line is .20 cents or more difference, I mark it a play. The power ratings reflect the overall performance of a team, and doesn't factor in individual starting pitchers as much, but more so the overall power of the staff, including the BP.
I'm planning on charting it the rest of the year, then crunching the numbers to see if I can reduce the number of plays in a day, and increase the win %. But, so far, it's been doing fine on it's own, so I'm not messing with it. Maybe after the season, I'll plug the numbers and see if I can increase the win % by moving my line difference to say, .30 or .40, but for now, it's staying put.
The one day I "tried" to cut down on the plays, reducing them from 12 to 8, the games I scratched went 3-1 for +3.65 Units!

BALT just missed out as a being a play, and with TBAY winning last nite, my suggestion would be to use the RUN LINE on the D RAYS!

Hey Randercity.... Are you betting this now or are you just tracking them still?? Just wondering how many units (if any) you were putting on each Dog... Thanks for keeping a running total so far.... Looks like you might have something... So far so good...

Actually, no I'm not. I try and NOT go against it, but the two days I did jump in, both lost, and since there has only been four losing days, that is quite unbelievable that I would lose my only two days playing these... BUT, I have used it partially to win, but since it was up over 10 units right away, it's gone about +8 Units for the past 11 days. I'm gonna monitor for the rest of the year, then probably start out next year playing it from day one. That's my plan at least.
As far as playing em, I don't think I'd vary the amounts, keep it simple. At year's end, I'll see if there is any basis to increase a play, or use the RUN LINE instead. We'll see.

That is unbelievable how you can have only 4 losing days total and you decide to play the card on two of those days.. But over the long haul so far the system seems to be kicking butt and I'm sure its tempting to put atleast a unit on each and see what happens... I really appreciate the time you put into listing the info... I might give it a shot and see what happens... Good luck today... I am leaning towards jumping on the Orioles today... Ok... tonite's the nite. I'm jumping on the dog system and riding it out. This takes me a lot less time than my regular capping, and with FOOTBALL started, I don't have time to do as much... so let's go find ourselves some bones!!

Another losing day when I play...
That makes 3 times out of five that I've played this system and it's lost. I skipped the TBAY game as noted on my other thread, so I only lost a couple of Units, but still.
After looking at that game, I decided SEATTLE was much too strong vs RUPE and expected them to romp. My Play of the Day ended up being the OVER in that game.
