5* North Texas St +5

Went to Carib where this is 4.5 and bought myself a half point just for a security blanket. Underdog is written all over this game. Tigers are excited to be in any bowl, and must be enjoying New Orleans. Eagles are old hats at this, and this game must be like defending the turf for them. I wouldn't feel the same about this pick if DeAngelo Williams was playing. I still don't know if most people realize how good he really is. Just can't see Memphis running away with this at all. A field goal game at the most.

Steelersal, I don't usually get involved in college totals, unless it's Texas Tech and Houston or something fairly obvious, but personally I'd never go over with a game where Joe Lee Dunn is involved, and you also have to consider that one team's star RB is out of action. Best of luck to you, though.

Cie, best of luck to you. It might interest you to know that I am already down on LSU +7.

Rebel21, thanks for your good wishes, and for all your great support this season. I hope your winnings from the bowls fill your Christman stocking to the brim:)

Glad you're on board, NYReb. Not surprisingly, I'll be all over the Tigers myself. Keep up the great work and thanks for posting winners all season long.:weed:

Reb,

You sound pretty confident about this one, and I see how others on this forum feel about you. I was leaning toward Memphis (-4), but I think I'm going with you on this one. Especially if North Texas is getting (5+)!!!

Bamachuck, I like this game well enough, but in case you aren't familiar with me, 5* is an average play for me. Please don't deposit your whole account on this game on my recommendation:) There will be stronger games down the road.

Good luck with however you play it.

NY REB, question does coaches resigned from a team affect their performance?

someone on this forum had posted that North Texas OL coach and RB coach has resigned and will not be with the team for the game tonight. Thanks and GL

Kenman, haven't heard anything about that. A coach resigning has different kinds of effects on a team, depending on lots of circumstances. In the case of Miss St, they didn't cover a single game after Sherrill resigned. Other teams are more inspired.

Toy, may your bowl season be profitable!

GL NY Reb.....It's good to see you posting as always.

I know it's early, but I rec you take USC in Rose. Looks like most people here lean to Mich but they are mistaking.

N. Texas didn't particularly play very well tonight. They weren't a pretty picture. I'm just happy that I don't have to watch the teams that they beat this season. This was bad enough:( Don't feel that my call was way off the mark, but Memphis certainly played well and deserved the win. Well, on to the next one, and better luck next time.

We'll get 'em next time...

We'll get 'em next time...

Reb,

Looks like we got a couple of bad breaks in this one. I sure wish NT could have completed a couple of those deep, wide open looks in the first half or had a few less penalties. I think your call was right on, just caught a tough beat. Oh well, we'll get back to work on Thursday night. BTW, what do you like in the GMAC bowl?
