The Winner's Circle
Record (0-0)

I haven't posted lately because I have been busy developing intricate spreadsheets for football, hockey and basketball. Each spreadsheet has been designed to evaluate which team holds the edge in at least ten important categories. For example, my NFL and NCAA football spreadsheets include key variables such as special teams, turnover ratio, rush offense, rush defense, notable trends, etc. My new system will make its debut tomorrow night. In the long run, I am confident that these spreadsheets will enable us to make a nice profit. I will be updating my record and units won/lost on a daily basis. Let's see what happens!

The Winner's Circle
Miami Dolphins +170 (moneyline)
Risking 1 unit

Miami is better than Green Bay in three very important categories: rush offense, rush defense and special teams. Not to mention, the Dolphins are 9-1 all-time against Green Bay. Good luck tonight!

The spreadsheet let me down last night, but I'm still very confident that it will produce many winners in the future. Good luck!

I wish you luck. Do keep in mind one important thing spread sheets can not mesure. Emotion. Emotion in my humble opinion is 1/3 of capping.

DJV -

Great point! My spreadsheet already includes a category which attempts to evaluate each team's emotion/confidence level. I gave Green Bay the edge in that category last night. In the end, however, I decided that Miami's edge in other key statistical categories outweighed the Packers' emotional edge. Maybe that's where I went wrong. When it's all said and done, I am confident that I will make a nice profit with this spreadsheet.

Good luck!

Good luck on the system RTL...Look forward to tracking it!

DJV, Couldnt agree more w/ emotion factor. I even weigh this higher in my cappin than 1/3! That's if you factor in of course the "must win" mentality on a weekly basis, sandwich games, next weeks games, off the field turmoil including locker rooms and playoff impications.

I might have repeated myself on this post, but what I listed above is a very strong factor as to how I handicapp games. Past ATS is something that is NOT a "key" factor w/ my decision making. It comes to play, but w/ soo much changes ON AN ANNUAL BASIS (coaching staff, players, free agency) etc etc ...I don't make it the "priority". I OBVIOUSLY do look at it in weighing my decision (I.E. Tampa playing in cold weather games on the road is a PRIME example) . One would be out of their mind not to! CURRENT YTD ONLY OFF & Def stats plays the big role for me personally! Judging and keeping track of weekly "Emotion" factors (local papers, injuries etc etc) is something that weighs HUGE importance for my decison making and can never be overlooked when cappin games...

Hope your system paYs of huge dividends to you!!! gl

good luck on your spreadsheet and i look forward to seeing your posts..in the nfl i wouldn't put to much stock in any previous years as the players and all position coachs change so frequently..ytd stats should have almost all the value..just my two cents..good luck and i hope you beat the man
