Hi Guys,
Just noticed that the Yankees have 18 games remaining against the Tampa Bay Devilrays. Now the Yanks are chasing the Sox so this is a good oppurtunity for them to pick up some games while the Sox play some good teams. How does everyone feel about betting the Yanks every game they play the Drays. and if they lose double up on them the next game. Would love some input. See some value in this. Thanks guys.

I'm not fletcher, but can give you my opinion on this. In my opinion, ANY double up betting strategy in ANY form of gambling, including sportswagering (and the scenario you presented) is not a good thing to be doing. There are 2 main reasons for this, both of them related to each other. First of all, if you happen to lose the first game, or more, you are basically placing a bet to "catch-up" or to break even, not to mention your amount at risk doubles each time. Secondly, this system is based on the premise that you can't possibly lose (fill in the blank) games in a row. This is NOT a certainty. It can happen. You see this system in alot of probability games such as blackjack (again, based on the premise that it's not possible to lose xx games in a row). It is. I once had a streak (and I'm sure others can relate) where I lost 20+ hands in a row at a blackjack table. If I had been using the "progressive double down" system, I'd be up in the range of Bill Gates' net worth around hand number 22. Is this likely? No. But the sheer possibility that it CAN happen squelches any thought of using this particular strategy.

it would of tken me an hour to type that thanks and he is right i won today with yanks they will be 200+ on sat and i will play them but for half of what i won today ,i never palay progression that much its more fo a good dog chance anytime i did a reverse thats betting fav doble and triple i have been smacked so learned,i might not play them sat because i won with the -200 the smart thing now is to stop but will see if i do willnot play 3days in a row of-200 havenot played that many as last year because bullpins sucks for most teams. i am out of it pills have kicked in just took night dose 30 mins ago but jr was right my post probley makes no sense at this point. and yanks are not a money maker this year as much with the inflated # hitting is inconsetent,so is bullpen.
