The Bourne Supremacy rocked. Great flick.

Saw the Manchurian Candidate last night, it was decent. Meryl Streep did a great job as the super bitch, and Denzel was his usual good self. The plot itself was so extreme that I found myself laughing at serious parts a few times, but overall it was at least entertaining.

so, trossi, tell me about the village. Since it sucked, give me some spoilers. What is the significance of red? What is in the woods? Thanks.

I agree with Trossi...top 10 worst movies I have ever seen (Showgirls, UHF, and 99% of Adam Sandler movies at the top). I think everyone figures out the "big twist" by halfway through the movie and then you spend the rest of the movie waiting for M. Night to fool you...never happens.

Horrible...

BJ:

Gotta disagree with you on Bourne Supremacy. Thought it was okay (except that car chase scene seemed to go on for hours) but not great. If you saw the first one Bourne Identity, which I thought was better, I thought this one was kinda predictable. It's not horrible, but average to me.

I saw the Manchurian Candidate also. Same take. It was okay although I really liked Glen Close in that movie.

Trossi:

I generally don't read fiction but I did read the Bourne Identity. I thought the book was even better than the movie although the movie was very good.

Thought 'The Bourne Supremacy' was dissapointing. Decent, but expected much better as the first one I really enjoyed.

I really liked 'The Village', though I'm sure many of the Bush supporters aren't too happy with the references to his policies and current state of administration. I think too many people keep expecting him to top 'The Sixth Sense' or have an even better twist in one of his films, but that is going to be almost impossible to do.

'Collateral' was pretty entertaining. The excellent reviews it had gotten made me think it was going to be a great movie, but it was nothing more than a solid thriller from Michael Mann.

I recently have been on a movie viewing rampage... Don't go as much as I have recently

Bourne Supremacey ---- Thought was good, the car chase scene was pretty bad ass and for me probably was worth the money to see the movie.

Manchurian Candidate ----- As much as I like Denzel and Liev Schriever, I couldn't get over the story and well Meryl Streep, I hated her but I guess that was her character. I am one of those person that sees like 10 movies and 9 out of 10 i think are good. But I really didn't like this and well i saw the original as well

The Village ------ not to sound negative again but i saw both of these movies on back to back nights and it made for a depressing weekend, hahhahaa. I was bored with the movie JoQuain Phoenix and the blind chick ( who is hot and not really blind) were great but it lacked a lot of what I expected and more of what I didn't expect. This sounds bad but perhaps having the Six Sense as his first movie is really hurting M. Night. I liked the last three : Six Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs but I think there all on a sliding scale going downwards.

I enjoyed the M. Night Mocumentary that Sci-Fi ran on him though, that was pretty entertaining

'Collateral' was good but I was disappointed in the ending.

At least I was right about skipping on 'The Village'.
