I do not see Alabama being in the top five considering the fact that they must replace three offensive linemen, the QB and Coffee...They will have trouble with the Virginia tech defense the first game considering the new faces. Just my opinion though...

HELL
I know USC just reloads, but I thought I read USC may lose up to 10 starters on defense, and possibly Sanchez.

Ole Miss in the top 5, I don't think so....
some of the other teams, that are the obvious
choices- most likely.

A large part of making it into the top 5 is
Believing, and just like South Carolina isn't there
yet, even with Surrier, I don't see the Rebels
cracking that level yet either.

Farther South, Nearer God
1. Florida - reigning champs and God-bless-him Tebow.

2. USC - the team that everyone seemed to want to play for the championship this year, right after they voted for some BIG XII team.

Interlude - IF Pete Carrol could somehow manage to concentrate for the whole regular season, no further rankings are necessary. I say put Utah, Boise State, etc up at 3-5 to make them feel good and to pretend like they ever had a real chance to play for it all. However, Pete NEVER manages to have that type of season, so....

3. XXXXXXX - fill in the name of whatever of those ridiculous BIG XII teams manages to hold onto its QB.

4. XXXXXXX - Either Ohio State or Penn State. Voters never learn that Ohio State will ALWAYS founder once they leave the cozy warmth of Big 10 competition, nor do they ever learn that talking about how great Penn State is doesn't make them any better.

5. Notre Dame - It will take 4+ losses to get ND out of the top 5 next year. You see, Charlie Weiss is an offensive GENIOUS, and Notre Dame IS BACK.

If Bradford leaves OU wont have a shot @ the top 5...not even the top 10.

Bradford is staying.

Terrelle Pryor will kick ass next year.

USC is the most feared team year in and year out.

Texas will be ahead of the Sooners.

Florida # 1 is a given.

I stand by these picks and would love to see this
thread bumped next August.
