Well my wish didn't come true and both NFC North teams advance but at least I made money on em and this proves the NFC North is the best division in the NFC..

These 2 teams know each other very well and have fought to 2 low scoring games during the regular season.
What is going to be the difference in the game? Match Ups, Turnovers, Special Teams, and Big Plays.

OFFENSE:

This is not even close. Rogers is much better than Cutler and did you see Cutler get away with 1 easy pick and about 3 potential picks? Running wise I like Chicago's running game more than GB's but the Pack definitely have a lift with Starks. Wide Receivers are not close.. Jennings and Driver are a good duo and Nelson is rising..

DEFENSE:

Both teams love to get after the passer but Chico would love to do it by just rushing 4 where GB likes to blitz. Chico's run defense is really really good and they need to force GB in long situations. One knock on the Bears D is that they were 20th in the NFC vs the pass during regular season and Rogers could have a field day but he hasn't yet against them this year. How about Hasselbeck? If his receivers could catch that game would of been really close..

Green Bay's defense is really really good. They can be succeptible to the run but Jenkins is in there and that has been a BIG DIFFERENCE. Consistently passing on them is almost impossible.

Special Teams:

BIG EDGE to the Bears with Hester and Gould. Pack's return game not exciting and I do not trust Mason Crosby at all. He has great leg but accuracy a BIG problem at times.

ONLY way the Bears win is by Hester having a big return game and the Pack turning the ball over. MUST GET TO ROGERS!!!!
Cutler got a way with some horrible throws vs. Seattle, won't happen against the Pack. Chico's D was let off the hook with dropped balls. Won't happen this week..

Pack 27 Bears 17

Don't forget about Tillman's drop / catch to Williams in the Endzone for a TD.

It all evens out .... I'll Take the Bears , just waiting for more points.

cutler had 1 bad throw vs sea
sea only dropped a few passes
chi dropped 2 int's as well
in their last meeting in lambeau, gb dropped a bunch of passes

as someone else said....it's pretty simple

can the bears o-line protect for cutler (did a decent job in meeting 1 and bad job in meeting 2)

can the bears d-line get some pressure on rodgers

also......i think this is where martz bizzare play calling vs gb 3 weeks ago will help the bears.

waay too many passes, not enough runs, didnt change the hot reads from 1st meeting, didnt give max protection to cutler and didnt show much new........contrast that to the playoff matchup vs sea, multiple wildcat formations (and yes, a pass out of it) and a HUGE committment to the run.

think we see that kind of gameplan with some exotic stuff in the passing game that hasnt been shown much.

but again.....can chi pick up the blitzes, one benefit they have is their at home so crowd noise shouldnt be a problem.

Can they stop the Packers passing game?? They have done a decent job of it this year but Green Bay is a team that is only getting better.. So are the Bears too...

Green Bay's pass defense is the best in the league in my opinion and have shut down the Bears offense twice and should happen again.. Green Bay was robbed in Chico the first time they met with a BS holding on a Finley TD catch that would of put the Pack up 10 and in control of the game.

The Packers IMO have better players than the Bears at skilled positions. What I don't like about the Bears is the way the Hawks moved the ball on em and should of in the first half if not for drops.. If they give GB that type of opportunity they get crushed.. Let's face it Seattle SUCKS!!

Cutler is going to make one mistake in this game and has the ability to make 5..

Yes Seattle dropped a few passes, some took them out of scoring position and some gave Chicago great field positiion.. Which was great cause I had the Bears..

Cutler threw 3 balls that could of easily been picked and one was a for sure pick

you do realize seattle started the game with 8 straight punts and had about 100 yards of offense thru 3 quarters????

i've watched the game a few times and dont see all the "drops" you keep referring to, in fact i see about as many bears dropped int's as i do dropped passes.

in the end, seattle does stink and to point out again.....gb had more drops vs chi 3 weeks ago than sea did and really did nothing on offense that game they HAD to have

also.....the bears played way more press coverage vs sea than they usually do, which i think will make it a bit tougher for rodgers to know what the defense is ahead of time.....in the end, the bears will need to get pressure on him (like they did in gb) to make any coverage schemes effective.

Do you see the Bears winning??

sure, why not

each team won at home and the games were decided at the wire (bears by 3, packers by 7)

for all the love gb and rodgers is getting, they were held to 27 points, 2 td passes and 620 yards COMBINED by the bears defense.

also.....take what you want from the last game in gb ......and while the bears played their starters and played hard, they did nothing from a scheme perspective to actually try and win....basic stuff and similar stuff from the first game, while gb changed a few things up....i think chi will come up with a few new wrinkles (more press coverages, a blitz or two, and some changes on offense, a comittment to the run and different hot reads off gb's blitzes).

comes down to a few things:
1) can chi pressure rodgers......peppers has to be a BEAST.

2) gb should get to cutler.... so, will he make the safe play or the killer turnovers......havent seen him scramble much vs gb and i expect to see that sun as well as some moving pockets

3) special teams.....the bears have a HUGE advantage here and most teams/fans overlook this aspect of the game, the bears dont....if they dominate here, they have a great chance to win.

i have a ticket at 15-1 for the bears to win the nfc so i wont be betting the bears ml.......i'd like to bet the bears +3.5 but that's probably not prudent strategy......however, not sure i can bring myself to hedge and take gb moneyline (esp at -200).

come noon sunday pst, i'm sure i'll be liquored up and take the bears no matter what!!!!!
