Minnesota At Pittsburgh -6
Vikings come in on a short week after Monday Night easy win against New Orleans and Pitt held on for a win in Cleveland. Initially I think 6 is too many and the Vikes are a live dog, but then again I am a homer. Vikings can get to Big Ben and have speedy linebackers to run down Bell, Antonio Brown will get Rhodes in coverage most of the day and it will be a test for the top notch corner. On the other side of the ball can the Vikes run on the Steelers and will the line give Bradford protection? Lots of variables and this would be a no play for me. I'm calling the Vikes 23-20 in the homer call of the year.
Lions I have no opinion but I couldn't put any money on the Giants right now.
Chicago at Tampa - 7
Chicago out played Atlanta last week and came up short at the end. It was a fun game to watch and a morall victory for a bad football team, I expect Tampa to come out and put a bit of a whooping on the Chicago offense and be able to get theirs. I'll take Tampa 31- 13
Now for the Big game.. Green Bay at Atlanta -3
They met twice last year with Atlanta winning a squeeker early and a blow out in NFC Champ game. Atlanta was able to spread the Pack D out and score at will. Pack O was out of sync early in the Champ game.. Last week the Packers D was dominant against a poor Seattle offensive line and took them out of their game with Wilson making the only real offensive big play on his feet. Pack offense struggled early but was able to what they wanted start of 4th Q, Seattle's defense was tired and had guys dropping like flies. As mentioned Atlanta struggled with a weak Bears team and should have lost.
Now to Sunday Night... To me Atlanta's total win total was set low for a reason, they won't be as good as last year. Atlanta's defense isn't very good and I don't trust Ryan to have back to back great seasons. There could be something special about Green Bay this season and I believe them to be the best team in the NFC. Rodgers has a chip on his shoulder, my main concern is his pass protection, will he make it through the season? He will make it through Sunday Night and I'll take Rodgers and what SEEMS to be an improving defense over a team I think overachieved last season. Pack 34 Falcons 24
