do you mind sharing your thinking on this game prez, I was loving on the other side which means you're gold
boomer,
Basically just think Carolina is the right side and the opening line combined with the line movement makes me even more comfortable with this spot for the panthers.
I think most folks feel way more comfortable backing the 49ers vs. the Panthers and I like being on the other side of these scenarios, especially when my side is the home team. It's a tough matchup for both teams, they are built similarly overall. SF is a dangerous combo of experienced and hungry, not to mention well coached.
However, Carolina has shown a matureness to me this year and especially during this 12 game run because they've won big games, they've won games they needed to win, they've won games they were supposed to win handily, and they've won close games. I also like that they out gained the 49ers by 127 yards in their first meeting and the confidence they'll have because they won that game. Honestly I think that win over SF gave Carolina the confidence to win the other big games that they won down the stretch. I think they'll be ready.
Carolina has won 11 out of their last 12 games overall. There were 7-1 this year at home with their only loss in week one to Seattle. Kapaernick had 98 yards rushing last week in green bay but the panthers are a much better team than the packers defensively, and specifically in stopping the run.
