Played the following:

OVER 45 ATLANTA (1 UNIT) ;)
BALTIMORE -3 (1 UNIT)
PHILADELPHIA -7.5 (1 UNIT)
CAROLINA +8.5 (1 UNIT)

A rare NFL totals play today. Looks like Hasselbeck will get the start which is what was my final deciding factor in playing this total.

Atlanta's has not been as stingy on defense their last several games like they were in the beginning of the season. Other than the shutout to a Carolina team that has been pretty pathetic on offense and who in that particular game had a banged up qb the way it is, Atlanta has allowed and average of 26.8 points in their last 6 games(not counting Carolina)

Seattle has put up some very good numbers offensively the past few weeks...averaging 27.6 points per game and 469 yrds per game of offense their last 3. Two of these teams were Philly and San Fran who have very respectable defenses and the other was vs a Kansas City team that has only allowed more than 17 points in a game once in their last 6 games and that was vs Seattle

Atlanta being a bit beat up on the defensive side should only help.

Of course Seattle simply put cannot stop the run. They allow 172 yards per game on the ground and their pass defense is not much better and I believe Seattle's cornerbacks will be playing not near 100% in this game which will help Vick have an expected big day in this one.

Kinda think the Hasselbeck status and the thought of Atlanta having a good defense is still in peoples heads thus the total is not quite as high as maybe it should be in this one. I expect Hasselbeck to have time to throw and Vick to have those running lanes if no one's open.....this one goes way over.

Good luck to everyone on Sunday :D

Thanks guys.....was up late night finishing up capping. Hopefully things work out well.

Also have 2 strong leans which I did NOT play but did use in the Infinity contest to round out my 5 plays. Those are:

Oakland +1.5
New England +2 (Monday night)

Good luck to everyone :)

Pete, I piggybacked all your plays this week. If they do bad, just blame me for the bad kharma. I haven't had much luck in NFL this year.:( Good luck today.

BTW, would you still play Oak at a pick??

Happy holidays, my friend.:toast:

Thanks Danny....I don't believe in the "piggyback jinx" :D The only thing that gets to me is when someone chalks the play up as a win before the game's over

On the Oakland game and the New England game, actually they're just leans which I don't play, so no I wouldn't play it a pick. Trying to catch these guys in the contest and didn't feel like I could afford a "buy" week so I filled out my 5 plays with Oak and New England.

Good luck to you today and Happy Holidays to you and your family as well :thumb:
