ndnfan,

like both your saturday plays. still looking at sunday. i have run the eagles game 3 ways and have them winning by 14. really like the 6.5 because it gives me a touchdown cushion.

san fran, regardless of their scenerio and who won't play, sets up perfectly for the cover. much better in all matchups. after gb loss, do you really believe they don't want the w this week? i think they win convincingly.

good luck.

Thanks for the comments vanbasten :) ....glad we're on the same side.

On the San Fran....I agree with ya. At first glance San Fran looks like the play and also a public play, but sometimes you gotta outtrick or outcap the linesmakers. Actually, the line of San Fran -4 that Vegas and the offshores are showing is a reflection of the meaningless game for the 49ers. I also feel that the public is hearing a lot about the 49ers sitting everyone in this game and actually I think the line is OVER-REFLECTED for this reason alone and is definately a bargain (Hope I wasn't to confusing how I worded that?)

Anyways, from everything I've read on message boards and from other sources, I think you're gonna see this game more as a normal game as far as most the players playing go. Mariucci has stated that this game will be treated just like any other regular season game which means Garcia won't come out unless the 49ers are far ahead or well behind.

Next week will be a completely different story for San Fran who WILL REST everyone with even just a slight sprain.

As far as motivation for these 2 teams? The way I'm seeing it, I think Arizona might be a little down emotionally as a team especially after playing so well in the comeback last week vs the Rams only to get beat. I think the lack of motivation will show a bit this week overall as a team for Arizona. Plummer might be pumped a little for this one, but If you ask me that might get him into a lot of trouble early in this game. I'm definately not that big of a Plummer fan and that comeback stuff. To me he's one of the most overrated QBs out there....gets way too much credit for coming back when their team is behind and the defense is in PREVENT.

Motivation for San Fran seems to be there yet. Garcia has stated that this is definately not a meaningless game to him and his team. Also seen an intersting note: Garcia has never thrown an interception vs Arizona (67 pass attempst). As far as Hearst goes, he always has plenty of motivation vs his former team and has said the same this week. Hearst has stated that the 49ers as a team are not where they need to be and this will be a good game to help get there.

Could go on and on with more reasoning, but bottom line, the line is just too LOW in this one! Don't buy into that meaningless game stuff in this particular game...that's just adding to the soft line here.

Good luck :thumb:

NDNFAN, I would be careful thinking next week would be the game for S.F. to rest everyone with everything more than a sprain, for a couple of reasons. First, they play on the last Mon. nite game of the season on National T.V. Guys like Garcia, Hearst and Owens are gonna miss that? I don`t think so. I think the league and the sponsors wouldn`t take to kindly to sitting out the stars either. And lastly there is an old adage that states that coaches don`t like to go into the playoffs off a loss. I wouldn`t doubt it if most of the big guys are taking their rest by mid way through the third quarter in todays game.

Just an opinion,

Good luck this weekend, Skanoochies.

Kreationz.....Owens was the big one in question all week. Didn't have a write-up on much analysis. I feel that's a given with San Fran vs Arizona. Just wanted to point out why the line was way too low and to point out the mental and motivational outlook of both teams in this one which is contrary to what a lot of people were talking about in this game....thus a soft line. If Owens doesn't play of course it'll hurt, but it won't hurt them as a team as much as you might think. Basically a lot of jibberish to point out how Mooch and the team is looking at this game......just as another regular game in which they will be motivated to win.

Good luck to you today and hope you bring in some $$$ :D

Skanoochies...I guess we'll have to worry about that next week :)
I do a lot of scouring of local and team message boards and radio and this was the conclusion I drew. My point of the write-up was to separate the 2 games in trying to show that definately this game will not be like a possible next week. Hope I wasn't to unclear.

As far as the old adage of coaches don't like going into the playoffs off a loss...well the year San Fran rested everyone against Seattle and got blown out on the last game....they won their playoff game. Last year San Fran whupped on NO in the last game, with most starters playing, and then proceeded to get beat by GB. Maybe Mooch is thinking not like most coaches ;)

Anyways, we'll just have to see.

Good luck to you this weekend!
