What a crappy way to lose a double yesterday in NCAA ball as Florida didnt score a point in the second half...UGH!! Okay now that I got my belly aching out of the way, on to the NFL:
NY / San Diego over 43 - Double Dribble
The last 2 times these two teams have met, both games went over the total. Dallas was able to move the ball pretty well against San Diego and Manning and crew should be able to do the same. NY has a strong rushing game and Eli may not be Peyton but he is getting better with experience. On the San Diego side you just have to think that this is the game Brees puts it together, Tomlinson puts it together, they cant wait much longer. NY allowed New orleans to put up almost 400 passing yards. I just get the feeling both these teams will open it up on a Sunday night and the line has moved on this game steadily on the over...ill go with the line movement on this one.
Buffalo - 2 1/2 over Atlanta - Double Dribble
Okay dont get me wrong, I think Vick is a great athlete and as a QB...well he is a great runner. Unfortunately his passer rating is pretty low and now he has a lame hamstring. Buffalo was 7th against the rush last year and looked like they would be up there again this year until Tampa Bay got done with them (but we will get to that later). Two of Atlanta's top pass defenders are out, Vick is hurt and the last three times these two teams met, Buffalo is 2-0-1. Im going with the Bills and sacrificing a small piece of lumber.
Tampa Bay - 3 (bought the half) over Green Bay - Double Dribble
Okay so back to Tampa Bay and the 200 yeards they almost put up on Buffalo's defense, a pretty good defense I might add. Well now Tampa Bay travels to Green Bay, a team that on defense, has done pretty well against the run early (but this was against Detroit and Cleveland), but who has all sorts of problems in the secondary and just finished losing to Cleveland at home. Favre continues to have problems because he has no running game to keep defenses honest. The last 9 times these two teams have played TB is 6-2-1 and this is not the Green Bay of old, not by a long shot. Cleveland's defense held them in check for 3 quarters, what can we expect the Packer offense to do against TB?
GLTA.....DD
