4 Plays for today:
St Louis +9 over Detroit (3 Units)
While the Rams are not going to shock the world this year, they should be a better team. Detroit has no running game but a terrific passing game with Stafford, however their defense is still poor. The Rams should be able to move the ball both running and passing and keep this game within a touchdown as Jeff Fisher should have his guys ready to go.
New England -4.5 over Tennessee (3 Units)
The Patriots defense will be a bit better this year, not great, but more middle of the road. With that said, the offense should be even better adding Lloyd to the mix as the deep threat. I am not sold at all on Locker to lead the Titans offense and Kenny Britt is suspended for this game. The Titans defense will struggle all day long with the Patriots tight ends and Brady and the offense will post 28+ here, which should be plenty.
Seattle -2.5 over Arizona (5 Units)
I know Russell is a rookie QB, but this is not just about him. Arizona's run game is banged up and they have no QB to speak of. The defense of the Seahawks is much superior to the Cardinals. I think Lynch will be ok to start and he gives Seattle a decided edge on the ground. Overall there is nothing about Arizona to like...except the game is in Arizona.
Indy +9.5 over Chicago (3 Units)
Andrew Luck will have some struggles, but he will also make some great throws and pressure the Bears defense. 9.5 points is a lot for the Bears to cover and the Indy push rush should do a good job of keeping Cutler under pressure. Marshall is a good WR, beyond him the Bears have no much else. I look for a close game under 7 points.
