NFL Sunday Ticket Contract on DTV ?

NFLST Tv Contract update needed. I heard it will still be on DTV even it goes to EchoStar or cable next year will we still get the NFL on DTV for years to come ?

As far as I know, it has always been exclusive to DTV. I haven't heard of any changes.

If you are asking because of the proposed merger with Dish-Echostar, don't worry about it. The merger is dead, and if it somehow gets SEC approval they will still have the exclusive rights.

I actually read how the NFL wanted more money for the rights to show the games. Apparently, DTV didn't want to pay so there was talk about regular cable companies picking up "the ticket". Apparently, the % of people who still use cable vs. dtv are still pretty big. I guess they are thinking they can get more people willing to pay for it. Hopefully everything will work out for us.

Also, if it does go to cable that means.....

Less people getting it for free and a lot more paying for it. This is a good thing for the NFL and a very bad thing for us.
