Easily my favorite prop of every Super Bowl is the coin toss.. I heard about eight years ago a theory on betting tails on the coin toss as the decorative coin is top heavy and heads tends to find the carpet. The person who told me this said that the coin toss had come in over 70% of the time since Super Bowl I. I can't confirm that stat but I do know that Tails has come in the past SEVEN of the last EIGHT years and is worth a look as a prop bet. I like it this year for the following reasons.
-All the press wants to do is take pictures of the heads side. Tails never thinks that it gets its chance to show its stuff. Now under all the lights it can gain some respect once and for all.
-The new turf in Reliant Stadium will let gravity take it toll and provide a solid bounce giving Tails a better chance as it is the lighter, faster side.
-Much better fight song ("Tails never fails")
-And Joe Public loves to bet Heads.
