Tonight's game is a match up that I absolutely love. The Bucs are 2-4 this season but I'm not paying attention to their record, I'm paying attention to how they've played in each contest.
*Note that my disclaimer for my picks tonight is the fact that I have both Josh Freeman as my starting QB and VJax as my WR3 on my fantasy team. I drafted Cam Newton early but we all know that he's a bitch ass whiner and Josh Freeman has been producing great fantasy numbers for me so far.*
Because I have both Freeman and VJax on my squad I have been paying close attention to each and every Tampa Bay game played this season. I'll first discuss the four losses that Tampa Bay has endured. The Bucs' four losses have come against the Giants, the Cowboys, the Redskins, and the Saints. We can all agree that three of those four teams are very solid teams (regardless of records). The average number of points that the Bucs lost by in those losses is only 5.5 points. Tonight, they just so happen to be getting a number close to that number.
Secondly, I really really really like Josh Freeman! He ranks 11th in total QBR this season with a 91.2 QBR. He's one spot behind Eli Manning who is in 10th with a QBR of 92.5.
Thirdly, Doug Martin. He is more than capable of opening up the running game to entice Minnesota to start stacking the box which in turn opens up gaps in the secondary. Minnesota allowed LaRod Stephens-Howling to rush for over 100 yards and a TD for crying out loud! Martin will soften that Minnesota defense and there will be big plays tonight from Freeman-VJax and Freeman-Williams.
My bold prediction: Josh Freeman will continue his 3 touchdown/game streak tonight.
The wrong team is favored here and that's because Minnesota is 5-2. Bucs are the very live ML dog play tonight!
