Thursday Night

New England Patriots ? New York Jets

Notes:
New England has won 4 straight games in this series and 9 out of the last 10 SU and the favorite in this series is 8-2-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings...but the Pats have too many injuries for me to make a play on them?the Under is tempting since the weather is calling for rain and the Under is 8-2-1 in the Jets last 11 vs. AFC....plus for New England the Under in 9-1-2 in NE last 12 vs. AFC....and the Under is 8-1-2 in the Patriots last 11 home games.

More Notes:

One Jets offensive player, who spoke under the condition of anonymity because he didn't want to provide bulletin board fodder for the Patriots, talked about being "sick to our stomachs" about the Jets' 19-10 loss in Week 2 at the Meadowlands. He felt the Patriots were vulnerable - particularly on defense. Not to mention it was the first game with Matt Cassel at quarterback, after Tom Brady was injured in Week 1 vs. the Chiefs.

The player spoke matter-of-factly about how "slow" and "old" a number of the New England defenders are and how he believes the Jets should be able to put up "a lot of points" on them tonight. :scared

I'll pass on this one!

Medium Size 2 Unit Play:

3 game 10 point Teaser
Indianapolis Colts +1 over Texans
Philadelphia Eagles +0.5 over Bengals
Buffalo Bills +5.5 over Browns

Indy +1?A battle between 2 teams headed in the opposite direction?the Colts are rounding into form as most of their injured players are back including S Bob Sanders (the key to their D) while the Texans have regressed in the last 2 weeks and once again will likely be without their starting QB Matt Schaub?the Texans secondary is poor and will be exploited by Peyton Manning early and often?the Texans are 0-4 SU on the road this year and just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games after an ATS loss?2-5 ATS in their last 7 versus the AFC?2-6 ATS versus the AFC South and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 versus a team with a winning record?the Colts have won 9 out of the last 10 games between these two SU and will make it 10 out of the last 11 on Sunday.
Indianapolis 30 Houston 20
WINNER!!!

Eagles +0.5?Three of the Eagles 4 losses this year were to tough division (Dallas before Romo injury, Washington and the Giants) opponents and on the road to the Bears while the Bengals have just played poorly for most of the season but are coming off of a mild upset win over the Jaguars? but?they have had the last week off because of the bye to cool off?Carson Palmer will once again sit this game out for the Bengals?Philly is 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road tilts?4-1 ATS following a SU loss?and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in November?the Bengals are just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 following a SU win, 1-8 ATS in their last 9 following an ATS win and most importantly 0-4 ATS in the last 4 years following their bye week.
Philadelphia 31 Cincinnati 17
EEEZZZ WINNER! :mj07:

Buffalo +5.5?I went against the Bills last week with the Patriots and the Bills have lost 4 games in a row?but their attitude is upbeat for this weeks clash with the Browns as their players are pointing to playing well in front of a fired up crowd in front of the national spotlight on Monday Night?injured OG Brad Butler will be back in the starting lineup this week and S Donte Whitner has practiced on a limited basis this week and could play as well on Monday?on the flip side?any slim chance of the Browns making the playoffs ended last week in a crushing 4th quarter collapse at home to the defenseless Broncos?after that game HB Jamal Lewis said "it looked like some guys quit out there" and that some in the Browns' locker room need to "check their egos at the door."?on Monday, KR Joshua Cribbs said "we know if everybody didn't quit, we would have won that ballgame."?Coach Romeo Crennel responded this week by stating that his team hasn?t quit and won?t quit after a frustrating loss? but in my opinion, the players are clearly not on the same page?Trends?the Browns are 13-3 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games?while the Bills are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home versus a team with a losing record and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 home tilts?plus?the Bills have had this game circled on their calendar since this is a huge revenge game for the Bills because the Browns 8-0 victory in a driving snow storm in Cleveland eliminated the Bills from the Playoffs last year.
Buffalo 27 Cleveland 23
WINNER!!

For a Very Small 1/2 unit Play I played:

Houston Texans +10 (bought the 1/2)

As a hedge because I'm very confident in the Eagles and Bills plays... but... I'm just a wee bit concerned since Bob Sanders is OUT for the Colts today...I still think the Colts win but by less than 10 now.

WINNER!!

Like the first part of your card today F&G. Not sure about Houston (have Indy +4 in my tease).....we can share the wealth on that one :toast:

I like the Colts to win today but with Sanders being OUT :scared it hurts their defense :yup because he is their defense...so I made a 1/2 unit play play on the Texans to catch a middle.

Good Luck!

Added a One Unit Play on:

Cleveland Browns +5.5

I'm hoping to catch a nice 10 point middle since I have the Bills +5.5 to complete my teaser...plus I think it will be a close game.!

I received the news that both TE Robert Royal and WR James Hardy will be a game time decision for the Bills along with S Donte Whitner
...it's a blow to the Bills offense if both Hardy and Royal aren't able to go since their #2 WR Josh
Reed is already OUT for the game...because of this news and because of the opportunity to catch a 10 point middle I'm hopped on the Browns +5.5 for a Small 1 unit Play.

WINNER!!!!!! $$$$$
