had a little extra time tonight, and there's a chance i won't be able to operate a computer sunday morning, so i'm going to post early this week. all plays one unit.

carolina (+6) one of my favorite angles is to take advantage of overreactions to week one. example one... suddenly everybody realizes jake delhomme is not very good. duh. that's been apparent for about 5 years now. believe me, that's been factored into the line on carolina games for a while now.

cleveland (+3) unless adrian peterson is traded to denver this week, i really like this play. denver is still going to struggle this year. keep in mind... THEY WERE LUCKY TO BEAT THE BENGALS. the bengals. big win there.

chicago (+3) OMG OMG OMG... jay cutler really sucks. urlacher is out for the year. stick a fork in the bears... they're done. if i could get a dollar for every time that crap is spewed this week, i'd have, well, more money than i have after week one. until the steelers can figure out how to pick up a 3rd and short, i'll keep looking for opportunities to bet against them.

my guess is at least two of those lines will move in my favor during the week.

thanks, fellas. the more i think about that bears play, the more i like it. it'd be almost impossible to take the bears in that game for the general public. funny thing is, i'm hardly hearing anything about polamalu being out for the steelers, and that's a bigger loss than urlacher. that pittsburgh defense is average without polamalu.

i can't wait to see what the office pool looks like this week. if anything less than 75% are on the steelers, i'll get a little nervous.
