This line seems to be about 3 points off as I thought that Detroit would be a 3-point away dog. So, I may be falling into a trap, but the Lions have a little mojo working for them that happens when less than mediocre teams get on a run. Kitna's making everybody productive and when you use all of your offensive weapons, you create matchup problems for all but the best defenses in the league. I'd also really like to see McNabb throw a 15-yard out on time before I would ever back the Eagles.

Detroit +5.5

Green Bay is moving into the the group that includes the best defenses in the league and they have more talent to shut down LT than New England. Chargers geared up for NE all off season and pissed on their legs and now they've got to go back across the country. Tough spot

Green Bay +5
SD/GB Under 43

Also on Tennessee and I'm worried line may move down

Tennessee +4

All one unit

The Colts looked weaker on paper based on their off season, but they seemed to dispel the talk of a down year by smashing the Saints on primetime, but that win seems more suspect now.

I really think that the Texans can spread out the Colts defense and will have matchups to exploit in the air and a weak middle to run against.

Manning and the offense are going to get there yards, but 7 points is too much to give on the road with the Colts D.

Houston +7

Atlanta's biggest problem this year has been the inability of their line to protect Harrington and he's made mistakes when rushed. Carolina uses a conservative defensive philosophy and even they attack Harrington, the line should have a better chance of protecting as they are at home for the first time this year and can communicate their responsibilities easier.

Atlanta +4.5

Season Record 14-18 -5.72 units

Dogs 9-9 -0.97 units
Haltimes 1-2 -1.20 units
Totals 1-3 -2.30 units

... and the trek back to .500 begins

Minnesota's D is focused on stopping the run which is nice for the Packers as they can't run anyway. Vikings stats on D have been gained against the Falcons, Chiefs and the Lions being led by some guy named O'Sullivan. Green Bay's gotten to 3-0 against much better competition. This is gonna be a special season for Cheeseheads

Green Bay -2 two units

No one's ever excited about backing the Jets as a road favorite, but the Bills injury listing looks massive. They've got people coming back to the mix that they haven't seen since they were cut in the preseason. Pennington's the difference (in a positve way) today.

NY J-E-T-S -3 (-120)

Pretty entertaining game for the Bears today. Soon, everyone's gonna see why Griese didn't get off the bench, but . . . it's not this week

Bears/Lions Over

Harrington started to look worthy enough of the weekly investment that I spend on his team. Houston's another team that injuries are starting to have a significant impact on what they can do. I like Houston this year, but they need to get healthy.

Atlanta +3 (-120)
Also,

Arizona +6
St Louis +13
Baltimore -4

Orton anyone?

Griese is a joke. Swiss Cheese defense. Awful rununing game. No pass protection. Team is a mess. No chance they make playoffs. None.
Lovie bowed to the pressure. He knew Griese couldn't play. Not many options left unless you want to try Hester at QB.....
