Thats about all I can say about this board.... Take a look at the records of many of the cappers here..... they are great..... a lot of 50+ unit players too.....

Basically you could just coat tail one of many people here and be makin some good $$..... I haven't seen any other board or sport where there seem to be so many winners.....

I just wanted to say thanks to all that have contributed on this forum...... I have used many others analysis and information along the way this year to help me thru the year....

One thing that I think would be great is if we could get a few more people from the diff citys that follow their teams very closely.... we have Horns (Ottawa) Mugs (Boston) and myself (Van) a High % of my plays are with Van in it due to thats the team I follow day in and day out....

But other than that its been a great year at Madjacks! :D
Lets hope the 2nd half is like the first!!

Interesting point. Taking an educated guess I would say that Vegas puts far less time into producing lines/ odds for NHL as opposed to the likes of Baseball,NFL, NBA, College Football or Hoops. All their action is going to be predominantly on these sports and clearly there is greater risk if they get there lines wrong.

I cannot see Vegas putting in the work that some on this forum put in - and the rewards are well deserved.

To my eyes the tendancy is to over rate the favourite, particularly if that favourite is from the Northern US or Canada; and so produce a line where the Dog is over priced and may offer the sharp NHL backer a good opportunity. I mention the geography because I would imagine the further north you get the more likelihood to find an NHL fan and a potential punter - the tendancy with Joe Public is to back their team - so take yesterdays example of Montreal entertaining Atlanta - Montreal is steeped in ice hockey history - and 'JP' sees no other winner but their team against "...that team from the south who have that great baseball franchise and that fella Vick...oh what do they call themselves...when did they start playing hockey?"- and of course Vegas and your local bookie are quite happy to lay the odd reasonable size wager on Atlanta because they know they will get balanced up and more with 'JP' money - and they won't mind paying out on Atlanta because all they are doing is recycling the losers money to you and keeping a nice wedge for themselves.

In conclusion the NHL IMHO provides a better opportunity to win; but it's never easy - and let's hope this minor pat on the back to all on this forum does not start a downward spiral.

:toast: all.

Go Habs Go!!
Your choice of words are very truthful and coincide with what I feel Korn! Great atmosphere, good people and passionate sports fans!

By the way Korn, you can definitely associate my name to the Montreal Canadiens. I follow the Habs religiously and know what's going on. Unfortunately, I am not very technical in the way that Horns is but I do have information, which anyone can ask me at anytime in my threads. Food for thought.

Good luck tonight!

Hey, how can you leave out the Kings' homers in me, trademaster, and jake?? :thefinger :moon: :D

BTW, where the hell is jake?? He's probably so pissed at the Kings' recent performance that he quit hockey. I don't blame him:mad:

nice going boys

I follow the Leafs and have NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THEM :D

If anyone can figure them out they need a front office job with the leafs ..

sometimes they show up .. sometimes they dont .. depends on the position of the moon when the puck drops Spock thinks.

Hopefully all of us have a great second half ..
