Long shift tomorrow, may not have time to post. Played these overnite......
Panthers ML+140 x2.5
Would have been a stronger play had the Wings beat TB on Tuesday. Although Det has yet to lose B2B this season, this is as good a spot as any for a let-down. Classic 3/4 spot for Det, all on the road, also 4/6. They've had lack-luster performances in all 3 games since the New Year, scoring one goal total vs TB and Pho. They were lucky to get the W in Chicago, if Hull didn't come to save the day. Florida will want this game badly to continue their push for the playoffs, as they are 2 points off of the 8th spot. Their D has been stellar, allowing 5 goals in L3, 7 goals in L4, beating NJ, Col on the road, and lost a tough game at Vanc. Bure will be back in the line-up to provide offensive boost. Florida has had 3 days off to get ready for this game. I'm counting on an inspired effort from Fla tonite. With StL losing, Det is still sitting pretty on top of their division, and probably won't be that pumped to play an out-of-conference foe. Det is 1-1-2 in 3/4 on the road this season.
---I played 1.5 unit on the Panthers and will be watching the line during the day, as I expect the public will be pushing the line in Fla's favor. But will add another unit no matter what.
Canucks ML-103 x2
This line, I expect to move against Vanc, so I'm grabbing it now. Actually thought it would be more like -130 or something similar. Sens spanked the Rangers in a game they needed to win to start the 4 game roadie, now travel across the country to face the Canucks on 3 days rest waiting for the NHL points leader to come to town. Sens on a bad long stretch of scheduling, playing 6th in 10, 8th in 14 days. With the terrible Dec-Jan scheduling the NHL gave Ott this season, the Sens will be looking for spots to get their points and survive this month. With Calgary coming up tomorrow nite, and Vanc being out of conference, the motivation is definitely on the Canucks' side.
BTW, hey Korn, if you're reading this, tell me you're going to the game.
AS ALWAYS, GOOD LUCK TONITE EVERYONE!!!
