A friend of mine has a son who goes to Jersey Village high school here in Houston. Reported this story to me today:

Charlie Weiss came to Houston today to vist Steve More, a Texas commit, at his high school. Per an eyewitness, meeting went like this:

Weiss: Do you know who i am?

More: Yes,sir.

Weiss: I am extending an offer to you an offer to come play at the University of Notre Dame.

More: Thank you, sir, I have made up my mind.

Charlie Weis not Charlie Weiss - Obviously, you don't get to see many games outside of Texas.

He already has the #2 ranked recruiting class coming in next year according to rivals and #3 according to ESPN with 23 commits. I'm sure we will miss that scrub you're talking about. Good try.

I wonder who has the number 1 class Mr Spelling Nazi.

If he is a scrub why did your coach fly down here to see him and offer him a scholarship?

Posts like that undermine everything else you write.

Please - Your post about Weis offering someone a scholarship who is already committed to another University doesn't happen by anyone else.

It happens all of the time. That's why it's called a "verbal" to the school.. Nobody is a "sure" thing until they sign on the dotted line. NEWSFLASH - ALL SCHOOLS DO IT.

Your constant drivel undermines everything you write.

You are the one that said the guy is a scrub. I guess your 9 win coach just likes wasting his time and money on chartered planes to see scrubs. Your latest response makes even less sense than the first. No real surprise there.

those recruiting rankings don't mean crap. the irish had top 3 and top five recruiting classes in the early 90's and didn't do anything

Geez, ND has one decent year against lower rated schools and now this guy thinks they're a top 10 team. Go figure
