Remember fading a Western team in their first game home off a successful road trip? I think the Suns might get a wager from me Tuesday night. ;)

Will be away tonight, so I went ahead and played this one at +6.5 (heh, heh, I kind of like that number ;). I don't have any numbers to back this up, it's just an observation I made when I used to cap the NBA all the time. The Blazers are in a great go against position, and the plus is that the Suns have been playing good ball. Good luck!

The biggest reason I like this play is because the Suns are playing good ball. Yes, the Blazers are, too, but this is a nice spot for the Suns. I don't like playing this spot in and of itself, but I am not hesitating here with the Suns playing good ball.

Agree this looks like a good spot for PHO w/ POR coming off that great east coast road trip. The only slight worry I have b4 I make this a play is the fact the Suns are off 2 straight games w/ the Lakers. I know they are not in 1st place but still think teams get real geared up to play them. Not saying they will have a let down just because they played em twice (if they won both then I might think it could be the case). Just saying it is a small worry for me but other than that it looks very solid.

If you don't mind me asking sixfive, are you the one that plays the over in games where each team traveled on the road the night before? I have been tracking this and notice it does well sometimes, others not. Have you been tracking this or do you play the over in these spots. Just started posting my plays this week and hope to do well enough to continue. Have leans to Mil, Pho, and the LA under but haven't narrowed it down yet. GL w/ your plays!

Crazyhorse, yes that's me. However, I have not played that consistently or tracked it for a few years. When u do look at it, u have to exclude games where one or both teams was involved in a blowout the night before and starters were rested. Works best when each team has all the starters in the high 20s and preferably 30s in minutes played.

thanks for the reply. That is a good point about blowouts and I also noticed a few times if the teams didn't have to travel that far it didn't make it as strong a play (or at least for the ones i tracked). i also think what u said is important when going against teams playing their 3rd in 4, 5th in 7 etc. to me the angle is not as strong if that team rested their starters in the 4th qtr of the game they played the day before. Thanks again and gl w/ your picks.

:D There's something magical about that 6.5 spread ;) Didn't get to watch the game, but glad to see this trend might still have some merit. Where were u Nick? Did u see this thread at all? We need to rock out more winners in here like in the old sportslynx days!
