last chance to hit an NIT game this year, so i gotta do it...
umass (+3.5) 1 unit. certainly not a strong play here. but you need depth to contend with umass' hectic style. florida didn't have it, and ohio state has even less. umass will keep running up and down the court, shooting from every conceivable angle. near as i can tell, their main offensive strategy is... volume. keep throwing the ball towards the hoop and hope enough of 'em go in. anyways... umass has the emotional edge with 3 senior starters from the NYC area plus the story with milligan that everybody who saw tuesday's game is very familiar with.
