I usually try and use perspective and remember what time of the year it is......try not to get ahead of myself.......
BUT....
This CUBS team is insane- they are going to win 110 games this year
and after cruising to the best record and clinching home field, GL with them in the playoffs
travel to CHITOWN and face a lineup that has Javier baez and Addison russel batting in the 7 & 8 spots....
maybe your SP slows them down...
but then you have to score vs Arrieta and Lester on the road-
don't worry, you are getting game 3 at home.......only you have to face that lineup with your 3rd and 4th best arms......and have to score again vs Hammel and Lackey.....
my goodness, this was a awesome job of putting a roster together and it is deep-
Schwarber back next year makes it more filthy-
I cannot help but become super impressed with what they have done
oh yea, and they have a manager that took the Rays to the WS with a GM who broke the Boston Curse and isn't afraid to make the big moves and spend the owners money
This team is going to be here to stay for atleast 4-5 years.....
as a pirates fan, it scares me.........as a sports fan it impresses me......
watching them play you can just see how much better they are........the pirates will need to add a big time bat and hope Taillon and Glasnow are as good as advertised, or else we will be instantly competing for 2nd place in the division every year...
