Back with info and stats.....

So far shitloads of love for the Reds EVERYWHERE.

One thing I don't get everyone is saying the pressure is on the Pirates. I think Dusty is an idiot and a horrible manager. Hurdle has this team playing great in playing with ease.

: Dusty Baker is 145-114 (.560) in his career vs the Pirates,
the third-most wins by any manager vs Pit (Walter Alston 218, Tony
LaRussa 146)...the Pirates won the 2013 series, 11-8, and outscored the
Reds, 73-71...the 9 shutouts by Reds pitchers at Pit's PNC Park since
2009 are the most by any visiting team at any ballpark during that span and
their 10 shutout wins here since 2001 are tied with the Brewers for the most
by any visiting team at PNC

Cueto is making his third appearance since he came off his third stint on
the disabled list (1-0, 0.75, 12ip, 8h, 1er, 4bb, 10k)...his 2.92era over the last
4 seasons is the fourth-best in the Major Leagues among pitchers with at least
80 starts (Kershaw 2.37, Weaver 2.84, Lee 2.89)...at PNC Park is 1-0, 0.73
(12.1ip, 1er) in 2 starts this season and 8-2, 1.90 (85.1ip, 18er) in 13 career
starts...the club's Opening Day starter was on the disabled list with a strained
right lat 3 times this season, from 4/15-5/19, from 6/5-6/15 and from 6/29-9/15

Cueto in the Postseason: The 27-year-old is making his third career
Postseason appearance/start...in his first playoff start suffered the 2-0 loss vs
Phi in Game 3 of the 2010 NLDS...was opposed by Cole Hamels, who threw
a 5-hitter (0bb, 9k)...started Game 1 of the 2012 NLDS at SF and left the 5-2
victory with back spasms after 1 batter and 8 pitches...was the fewest batters
faced by any starting pitcher in a Postseason game in Major League history...
the previous record was held by Wsh's Curly Odgen, who faced 2 batters in Game 7 of the 1924 World Series vs the New York Giants.

Cueto 2013 Season: Went 1-0, 2.60 in his first 3 starts of the season before he was disabled on 4/15...went 2-0, 1.80 in 3 starts in May before he was disabled again on 6/5...made
3 more starts in June (1-2, 7.15) and went back on the DL on 6/29...returned on 9/16 and in 2 starts the rest of the season went 1-0, 0.75...on Opening Day earned no decision
in the 13-inning, 3-1 loss vs LAA but his 9 strikeouts were the most by a Reds pitcher on Opening Day since Mario Soto had 10k in 1982 vs Cubs...Reds pitchers produced 17
strikeouts total, a club record for Opening Day...in his 2 career Opening Day starts (2012, 2013) allowed just 1 run in 14.0 innings (6h, 4bb, 13k).
