Cliff Lee will be responsible for the Phillies 2nd straight trip to the WS. While the Dodgers did improve with adding Sherrill and Padilla. Philly added Pedro and Cliff and a monster bat in Ibanez. I think the Dodgers get knocked out again in 5 maybe 6.

Looks like Hamels in game 1 (who owned LA last year)
Game 2 Happ, Pedro or Blanton
Game 3 Lee
Game 4 Happ Pedro or Blanton
Game 5 Hamels
Game 6 Lee

Looking at pitcing no question Phillies are better.

I am not sure this even goes back to LA for game 6 and or 7.

Ohio but not a Buckeye
One big key factor that I think the Dodgers have going in their favor this year is that they can actually manufacture runs when they need it, plus their bullpen can matchup with the RHP/LHP problems.

Either, Loney, Kemp are not rookies anymore.

Hamels doesn't look the same, he doesn't throw the changeup like he used to, and personally, I think he's still slightly injured.

This series goes to the team who can steal a game.

If the Dodgers can win this series on the arms of Wolf, Kershaw, and most of all, Padilla, then I ahve lost all faith in October baseball. Phillies roll.

They did against STL

But I agree, Phillies roll.

BUCS I dont agree. St.Louis did themselves in. Carp got rocked in game 1 and that took the wind out of the Cards sails. No way they would recover.

I think losing Wainwright's start is what did them in. But that could be blamed on several things LOL

Also, 6 runs in 3 games didn't help their cause.

Phillies have a tough lineup to go through. They'll be hard to beat if Cliff Lee keeps pitching the way he is.

I would love to book all your Phillies action...Dodgers in 5 or 6...I'm giving Lee one win and maybe a lucky win in another

This makes me wonder if you've taken the time to even look at the numbers of the pitchers you're propping up.

Over the course of a 162 game season, Clayton Kershaw was better than Cliff Lee.

Cole Hamels is a big name? Sure, but he's got a fastball that's lost effectiveness this year. He's been roughly the same pitcher as Randy Wolf all season long.

Go to Google and type in "JA HAPP FIP". Report back on how much you love him over any of the arms the Dodgers will throw out.

Gentlemen, there is a reason the Dodgers won more games than any other NL team in the best division in NL. There's a reason they have the lowest team ERA in baseball (by .3 runs). There's a reason they had the best bullpen FIP/ERA/kper9 of any team that made the playoffs.

It's because they're good. You don't do these things over a 162 game season by accident.

And they score runs on offense because they get on base at a .344+ clip. Almost .10 better than the Phillies, in fact. I'd take the Phillies offense if I had to choose, but would I take them against lefties? That's another story.

Let me go on record

Let me go on record

Use this how you like.

Just spent over 3 hours reading 5 different MLB forums.

9 out of 10 bettors are on the DODGERS.

I am seriously shocked. Defending WS champs are getting ZERO respect. Didnt ESPN push a stat very hard before the divisional games started that NO DEFENDING WS team from the NL got past the 1st round of playoffs in recent years ?

Im guessing your a phillies fan, or a dodgers hater? All 3 of those pitchers you listed have pitched some big W's this season and are very capable of getting a W in this series. And I think you are all forgetting very quickly how average Hamels was this season. And now the public is all over him...i dont think so...I love it....look for dodgers to take game 1 tonite.....

p.s. dodgers have a guy leading the playoffs in average right now and its not ramirez, kemp, loney, or Ethier ; )....

Mind

Mind

Let me try to explain how I gauge my info.
I look at a few different %'s numbers from different books to start but that is not the real %'s to me. That is just an indication to me. I then go to 5 forums and read through post after post. If they were not competition for Madjacks I would be happy to post them here.

I see that as of 12pm the %'s at the books are moving to almost 60% on Dodgers and I expect them to continue that way till 1st pitch.
