I realized late in the Blues game with them up 4-3 that I had way too much riding on them winning... I tried to hedge, play the Sharks at +725 to no avail. Once they tied it with a minute to go, my heart sank. At about the same time, I'm watching the Raptors miss 9 straight shots, then a FT to lose by 8, not 7. Those two small nearly simultaneous plays, cost me like $1100...

Then to lose in OT on a missed call, that to me, not even a hockey fan, I saw right away. So sick... [emoji30]

I was about to post and sorry about the bad break.

The NHL already had egg on its face this year and this further cements that they have now joined the rest of sports with horrible officiating and a flawed review system. I honestly thought I would never see it get so bad in hockey, but the playoffs have been a disaster for the league this year. And San Jose keeps being on the right side of these major mistakes. I have no rationale except that, much like the NFL, officials are getting lazy and relying on replay and then realize replay does not apply to the call they just missed. In any event, their calls are changing games just like the NFL.

So, 2019 could be the year where the wrong team was in the Super Bowl, possibly the Stanley Cup Final, and oh, the best horse did not win the Kentucky Derby which was a first in 145 years ( I could also go on about soccer and VAR!). Not a banner year so far for sports.
