I was impressed by your new tracking system for cappers, the POWER RATINGS article in your section.

quite interesting...this new tracking will tell you the accuracy of a capper.

i wrote a long piece last night about this power ranking, but seems like i lost it.

in any event, this business of using the spreads for further analysis is a very tricky thing, as i have found out over the last couple of years.

if you are using it for some type of contest, fine, but for actual betting and predicting, i would be extremely careful with blow-outs, as they distort the short and long term figures, especially on totals.

i was using a variant of that on a per team basis, but found it necessary to adjust many blow-outs, and in some cases some low ball games. unfortunately, i had to abandon it last year for lack of time, as it is very time consuming. i think i paid for it in my percentage, dropping about 4 points, from a 59 mol to a 55 mol.

hopefully we can get into more detail on this right around the pre-season in the nfl folder.
