In his write-up today, Nolan mentions the first book he thought was ever worth reading / recommending on sports gambling (I'm paraphrasing, but that was the general jist of what he was saying).

Has anyone else out there read anything worth recommending?

I've read a variety of books, and I think Kevin O'Neill's 2 books had something pretty decent to say on football betting strategies, and I'd recommend those if you're looking for some additional insight.

Phil Steele's book is dated and really didn't provide any wonderful insight.

Others I've read would probably fall into a category similar to Steele's.

ANy other thoughts?

I hear Dan Gordon just came out with a very good book on nfl handicapping. I hear it compliments Wong's book and vice versa.

I have both of O'Neill's. and i go back to them many times. They did offer new ideas. Or at least another slant on old ones. In any case they payed for them selfs. The guy is honest. I believe M Lee may have one out also. I never seen it advertised. But he is on the honest side of things to. Many people have said this. I exchanged ideas with him over time and found his work very good. I have not communicated With Mike for a few years. Mike if your there, hello.
