North Carolina?

Nepaul is not a bad team, beating Louisville this past season. But....., Carolina is a championship team that wants to prove that they should have been in the tournament after beating Maryland and Duke in their final games of the season.

This is a for sure win for me, and I don't understand why anybody hasn't posted this a BIG PLAY game.

This game is at home, Nepaul does not stand a chance!

Can some of you guys give me reasons not to play this game?

I put a 5 unit play on Carolina.

I look forward to getting to know you guys because I've followed you all's picks for a long time.

Thanks loophole. That article makes the tarheels look like they don't give a shit about the game.

But, they still cover.

for one defence, rebounding is the second- depaul will controll the boards and tempo, nc has a very hard time against physical teams that are athletic. nc is young and they have a tendency to fade in the second half against these type of teams. nc could care less to be here. gl

Thunder, I respect the hell out of you and your opinions. You advice has helped me a great deal to say the least.

So...., when you say that I get worried.

Thanks for the reply.

I actually feel better about my pick because everyone is on Nepaul. If anyone likes Carolina, please let me know.

Thanks

Forgive me, they have the reputation of being a championship team from their past expeirences in tournaments.

I didn't specifically mean that they were championship caliber this season.

Although, they have a great deal more experience in tournament games than Nepaul.

Thanks for pointing that out, I meant that they were in the past and they probably have more confidence in this type of play.

GL whatever you play

More tourney experience???

UNC is loaded with Freshman. Puus didn't they miss the tourney last year as well???? These guys aren't the Jordans/Worthy/Perkins and Dean Smith led Tar Heels.

They have talent, but it's raw talent and if they stay healthy and stick around could be very good next year and excellent the following year.

I'm on Depaul.

Carolina has more than just raw talent if they beat the defending national champions and Duke in their last two games at home.

Plus, to add to the situation, they are playing at home.

I hate that you guys are all on Nepaul, but North Carolina is strong as of late at home so be careful.

Good luck to you guys.

Thanks for the input.

niether oneof those teams are strong on the interior- and that will be dukes and marylands downfall in the tourny.

I agree.

Can't believe all the east coast talking heads jumping on the Mayland bandwagon. What am I missing??? Didn't they only beat Duke/Wake (at home) vs top 50 RPI teams this year? Didn't they lose 11 games vs a pretty weak non-conf. schedule?

Thunder, I agree that Maryland is not good in the interior but I disagree about Duke. Sheldon Williams is a tough dude and he can handle the interior pretty well, but it's Dukes missed oppurtunities to get the ball to him that will hurt them in the tourny.

Gracias for the reply.

gjn23, I am far from Marylands bandwagon, whats up with the east coast stereotyping man? I just pointed out that they were national champions last year.

wasn't talking specifiaclly about you...just in general listening to the east coast clowns on ESPN, they are ALL on Maryland as a final four team.

Basing this years Maryland team on them being NC last year is completely irrelevant. This is a totally different team, they lost 4 starters from that team. To also handicapp UNC as a championship caliber team (or reputation to that) is completely irrelevant also. Doesn't mean they wont win/cover, but having past championships means nothing for the upcoming game.

Good luck.

congrats on the win.

I had the volume down talking on the phone but watching the game....seemed good at half then????????

Felt like I was watching a #1 seed vs a #16 seed. Depaul couldn't get the ball across midcourt. Turnovers to breakaway layups/dunks for about 5 minutes established a dd lead that was cemented for the rest of the half.
