Can't wait to watch the NIT semi-finals on espn tonight. Opps wife says don't forget your daughter and her new husband have tickets to Broadways travelling show " Aint to Proud" at Bass hall tonight. That was a conversation last week. I realized two days ago North Texas is playing Wisky the same night. So I am going to the play tonight taping the game ,not cheating and looking for the score and coming home late and turning on the game. Can't do it I have to peek during intermission and see the score. Do not have the discipline to do that. I actually saw this play on Broadway when it came out 2 years ago " Ain't to Proud " Its the story of the " Temptations " The music is amazing with about 15 No 1 hits that I can sing myself knowing all the lyrics but the story is sad and true All the jealousy, back stabbing guys leaving going solo their replacement s the drug addiction etc etc. The Tempatations is my all time favorite group and I got to see them at Texas womans Univ in Denton in 1971. Anyway thats where I will be tonight during the game
North Texas -1 over Wiskey **
NT defense is one of the best in the country. 7 teams they played this year scored their season low in points. They have the best player in Perry who I think was the POY of Conf USA. Conf USA has FAU UAB and North Texas still alive. More then the SEC B-10 Big East etc.
Wiskey although play in a tougher conf Big 10 arent really that good They have no play maker Think Grant McFarland the NT coach rumored to coach his last game and take the Texas Tech job tomorrow knows this . But NT big man Ousmane will not play tonight. He didn't play in the Ok St game where North Texas beat the Cowboys in OT Ousmane is their center at 6'10 but his replacement Sissoko 6'9 played his best game ever and had a double in scoring and rebounds. His 1st name is Moulaye but hopefully his teammates call him " Mo"
Wisky has a 7' footer in Wahl and a good gd in Hepburn but NT I think will negate their strength. Klesmit can hit the 3 but Grant knows this Think Grant who has seen this team play comes out with a defensive strategy that takes away Wiskeys big man and pressure their shooters. NT beat OkSt in last game in OT but have only a few losses all year. They split with UAB held FAU to 68 points and lost to St Mary out there on the left coast 63-33. The big question is can North Texas score enough points to beat this Big 10 team that beat Oregon the other day . NT ats record is off the charts. They play great D hold teams to way under there normal totals and cover and cover. The total in this game is 115 I am bad in totals so will pass . Think its a low scoring game where NT wins 66-63.. Even w/o Ousmane tonite " Mo" is there.
Being a north Texas grad and texting 5 of my buddies through out the games its has some " homer value " in my opinion When the line came out and saw North Texas was the favorite in Vegas but after capping it I could see why the Vegas boys picked them We sent a Big 12 team packing and tonite a Big 10 team packing. Conf USA has awoken and when FAU plays in the finals it could be two teams from the conf as National Champs and NIT champs. Go Mean Green The big question tonite is can I not look at my phone to see an update . " just my Imagination and Cloud 9.. If North Texas wins I will be on Cloud 9 ..good luck

chass d I think your right Maybe if I leave my phone at home My problem is I have 5 to 6 guys texting me and the group during the game. If I tell them I'm at a play they will kill me. The funny part of it all is that they all know my wife from school . Everyone of them is divorced except one. I am the only one that married their college sweetheart . One of them is a teacher at North Texas ,one is a retired teacher from Dallas[ Scotti Scheflers golf coach} ,another one works for American airlines and two are retired teachers. One is a shop teacher from NJ who still thinks he is Bruce Springsteen groupie .. The one who teaches at North Texas got his doctorate in Keineslogy I can't even spell it He had a few players on the football team and basketball team in his class. I asked him did those athletes all pass. He answer was a wink and said " I'm not allowed to discuss students grades with anybody .. "
Gotta run " people moving on " I'm doing fine up here on Cloud 9" Need some music to get me going Hopefully will " be fine up here" if North Texas wins and covers. Back after the play . Good luck

Box, too funny. I found myself in almost the exact same position tonight. I parlayed UNT & under. Was told last week that my lady couldn't get anyone to go to the Third Eye Blind concert tonight, so I would be attending with her. Ok, whatever. It's almost her birthday. So I recorded the game and didn't peek at the score once. Glad I didn't, because it would have put me in a foul mood. Came home, started ff'ing through... ok, Wisky up 41-29 at halftime. Maybe UNT can come back, but not with the game staying under the total. No way, no how. skipped ahead a few times and saw 54-52 with 5 minutes left. Hmmmm.... this could happen. Skipped ahead again, and Wisky was inbounding with 6 seconds left, down 56-54. And, amazingly, didn't get a shot off.

We always remember the horrible beats, but this is one miraculous win I'll remember for a while. I won enough to pay for our fancy dinner! :00hour

Keith the play was awesome . The music and dancing were spectacular . I wore my North Texas shirt and had on my green sweatshirt on. Kinda forgot about the game because the play was so good. But I did leave my phone in my daughters car. When the play was over and drove off the Texas campus I turned my phone on

" I'm doing fine up here on Cloud 9"
I will watch the game tomorrow but right now as the song says " my father didn't know the meaning of work,depressed and down hearted he took to Cloud 9 " Back tomorrow .. Glad you hit smitty Thanks Keith
