line move is very simple-

with a win, northern illinois advances to the mac championship game for the first time in school history.

bowling green's loss to toledo eliminated western michigan from mac contention. had bowling green not lost the lead in the final minutes last night, wmu would have controlled their own destiny today. that said, wmu still is pushing for a bowl bid (much like tulsa and utep in recent years) because of their almost "worst-to-first" turnaround. so while they can't win the mac, they still think they get a bowl game with a win.

but line definitely reflects what's at stake for niu today.

northern is far and away the better team, but will they feel the pressure and play tight?

thanks, gman. i'm leaning towards western mich. as long as they're still motivated, i like a 10-point dog who has won 4 straight games and a qb who has thrown 8 tds vs 0 ints the last 2 games. hiller is putting up some good numbers. perhaps a shootout like last year in the rain? 97 points is impressive.

Going under the total for a small wager.

I haven't picked a winner in six weeks, so beware.

wow, LOVE the over here. I think N.Ill gets into the 40s and the OVER will depend on how close W.Mich can hang. Both teams come into the game firing on all cylinders offensively, and on nice runs winning 9 out of 10 combined. When teams are playing that well coming into a contest, what do you usually see? TONS OF POINTS. This should get over 65. Bank it people

I would parlay W. Michigan with the OVER, BUT, one game is making me lean towards N. Illinois. W. Mich only beat Temple by 3. Granted this was couple of months ago, and W.Mich is rolling right now, but you have to completely not show up to almost lose to Temple. If that happens tonight, N.Illinois could win by 30.

For now, just OVER 58, leaning towards N.ILLINOIS TOO

derek, i agree. another factor that pushes me to the over is if western mich has lost motivation for this game, northern ill will light them up. and western mich should still be able to put up a few tds. too many offensive weapons not to.

I think the fact that the total is this high shocked alot of people too. N.Ill ground game and ball control is NO SECRET. Vegas still has set this total at 58, despite the COMMON KNOWLEDGE that N. Ill likes to run the ball?? That usually means BLOWOUT CITY. If not blowout, then certainly a shootout. Either way, OVER looks nice.

LOL. i'm hoping for the shootout. a nice 45-42 game would be good.

:cursin: :cursin: western mich comes out of the gates nice and then the qb gets hurt. i HATE when that happens. :cursin: i think that's gonna affect the over play more than the side.
