"the bunker"
the guy ducked out the back door before talking to anybody about the race....didn`t see him beatin` feet to the exit after the derby or the preakness...i understand how disappointed he must be,but, you`re supposed to be a sportsman and a good loser AS WELL AS a good winner....not surprised at all...i`m glad he lost.

While I share your feelings on the self-serving egomaniac, the Triple Crown has eluded him for a third time at the Belmont; and four times total if you count Point Given losing the Derby, and winning the last two jewels..

Money aside, at this point it has to be eating at him on a personal level...and you have to wonder if when he is old and whiter if he won't be harboring feelings of grief and resentment, while sitting outside on his front lawn in the fall, staring off into the distance as he reflects on his past...

Sorry, confused him with Michael Corleone..

Either way, I would have thrown a chair or something..so I think he showed much more restraint than I would, having been that close three times in six years..

But you are among the MANY people who are happy he did not win it..myself included, somewhat; although I tried to forget about the connections and just focus on the worthwhile qualities of the horse..that's why I wanted to see it happen..
