But as I have said many times.....they are making way more money then you think they are....yes Huerta has a right to be upset, and yes UFC needs to pay their fighters more....but I assure you Huerta ain't hurting for cash.

The money these guys make from sponsorships is huge. And they make it because they fight in the UFC. Not because of who they are, because the clothing,drink,supplement, etc. companies know millions of people watch the UFC fights. Let's take a middle tier UFC fighter who gets a purse of 5000/5000. He gets 15K for wearing shorts with multiple sponsors(thats a lowball figure) another 25K for the shirt. Then he gets all his training paid for, most of them have lease deals where they do not pay car payments because they are heroes in the towns. They get loans on the spot without credit or collateral. These guys are rolling in money. They teach privates at $200 and hour and do about 10 hours a week. If you think for one minute these guys are having money troubles you do not know anything about the financial side of mma. I have several fighters at my camp not in the UFC who make over 6 figures a year1

I would wager my left nut that in the last year Huerta has over 300 k in his bank account.....and most likely a lot more. Should Huerta be making more....yes, but like most guys in the UFC, he ain't hurting for cash......
And I know for a fact that when Jayson Day made his debut in the UFC he got 600% more for wearing the exact same T-Shirt he did 6 weeks earlier in a non UFC event. 600% yes, I'd say that's a tad bit of an upgrade in pay wouldn't ya say. Advertisers know that the UFC is where it is at, and they'll pay for that exposure. Don't forget that.

affliction will be finished by the time roger fulfills his contract with the ufc. the bigwhig at affliction is even suggesting that in future events their fighters will have to accept reduced salaries.
as far as the ufc goes, they know can rely on sponsors to pay their fighters, so they don't have to.
that xyience situation was messed up. it's essentially (if it's still even operational) a fertitta owned company which was sponsoring ufc fighters, however, they reneged on many of their payments.
I think Huerta only has one more fight with UFC. Ufc guys are paid okay but the lower tier is embarrassing.
Paying a guy 4 thousand is a little bit of a joke. these are the guys i would worry about. The way these guys train i don't know how a guy can do it with that type of pay. I realize these guys are getting money in other area's but it can't be to much if they are only getting 4 grand a fight. When i see the salaries for all these federations there are always a few that make me shake my head. Like the last Elite card. Don't quote me on this but i thought i saw were the heavyweight Silva got 200 thousand for his match but Lawler got half of that. I wasn't that jack up to see the giant Silva but i did want to see the main event with Lawler. I think Dana and the rest of these guys should shift the money a little better. Watch how Brock Lesner gets more then GSP August eighth. Now if this was Brocks first fight i could understand but it isn't. Just my opinion. I only posted the first post to break Kicks balls. i remember the silva and lawler purses being in the vicinity you mentioned. silva certainly isn't worth that much. i think brock pulled in a base salary of 250 k, which would have likely been doubled had he won. that's about the largest purse in the ufc.

I don't understand how Affliction could have possible lost money on that card unless they were projecting to make 50 million and only made 40 so its a ten million loss in their minds:shrug: Just throwing out numbers. Like i said earlier if they want to make UFC money right off the bat then they are finished. If they would just be patient and make enough to survive then they could survive and give the ufc a run. This isn't like going against the NFL which is always an assinine(sp) thing to do, this is an up in coming sport.
