Think this team has been running on emotion for a week now. The Braves series was huge for them and they seem to lose their focus after playing this team. They are 2-10 the next series after playing ATL. Now after losing in 11 they may be ripe for a fade.

Don't know if I necessarily agree. I been riding their streak for a while and somehow 'knew' to lay off today. I wish I were wrong, but Benitez blew a solid under play and the streak as well.

They are still in the race here. 6 games v. Montreal, 3 against Pitt and 3 v. ALT. 12 games against teams that have for the most part packed it in.

I will probably lay off tomorrow to see if they bounce back or do what most teams do after a streak is snapped, that being lose the next game.

Phoenix,

You make some good points, but I tend to think MOV is right on this one. I have just now almost "caught up" from all the losses the NYM handed to me earlier this year when they forgot what a baseball looked like.

They have looked terrific lately, but what a roller coaster ride the Mets can take us on. I feel like we may be getting ready for another downward slide and I want to make sure I am holding on. I think I will restrict my Mets wagers to no more than 50 cents until we finish the loop de loop, but my heart is still pulling for them. I want to see RobertBIrish collect that big pennant ticket.
