NYY/NYM GAME SATURDAY

This is a rematch of a pitching duel on June 16th at Shea, which Appier lost 2-1. Appier would be a good play here if his damn team can score some runs for him. Tall order against Mussina. Perhaps a hedge play here with NYY - 180 & NYM +1 1/2 on run line?

Regarding the total, if their last matchup was only a week ago, I would probably look for reasons for this game to go over. Since the game was 3 weeks ago, NY may be in store for another pitching duel. Pending whether reports, I am leaning to a play on the under 7 1/2 O. Sunday's ESPN game matches Reed v. Kiesler, which would seem to have the definate makings of an over play.

Thoughts anyone? Be back in morning.

FYI, you can get the Under at 8 -115 at Camelot.

Actually I've just spent the last 2 hours looking at today's games and I ended up with only 1 play, which is:

I personally don't follow either team, being on the West Coast, but I do know APPIER beat me last time out. He went nuts and nearly shut out the BRAVES, costing me the SUNDAY NITE matchup. He hasn't been terrible for the METS, but they've given him nothing for support. Right now, I'm leaning to the UNDER, but I doubt if play the side.

I took your hedge play and I thought I had it in the bag when the game went into extra innings.

I nearly pooped in my shorts when Mets got 3 in the 10th instead of 1.

But the under hit.

I like the over for tomorrow too.

Thems the breaks when it comes to bazeball. I decided to stay away from both sides in this game and only played the under. This game certainly had the makings for you to hit the hedge.

Overnight line for tomorrow has Kiesler as -135 favorite with 9u for the total.

I'm going with the same hedge for Sunday except with the Over 9 this time instead of the Under.

IMO after getting shut out today the Yanks will explode vs Reed and even the Mets should get a couple against rookie Keisler.

It's a fact that in the first round of interleague play this year that all nine times teams won in extra innings they lost the following day.

SB, good luck with the hedge tomorrow. I like Reed to win v. Kiesler, but that is a solid fact to the contrary you bring up. I will probably lay off a side in this one, unless I am up for the day and want a rooting interest tomorrow night.
