A's better win cuz I got $$$$$$ on the line(3 way parlay)...i would never do a straight bet on this perosonally to much chalk to give up except if I picked Rangers.

zito..has a great track record vs. texas...and valdes has pretty solid numbers vs. oakland..the ump looks like a good under play as well..but they have been hitting the ball...and texas' record vs. lefties isnt good but the over has hit just as much when they play lefties as the under....im leaning towards either oakland or the under...cooz

OAK is 9-1 in Zito's last 10 starts.

Zito's last five games have played under.

The under is 16-6-3 in OAK's last 25 away.

Valdes's last three starts have played under.

The under is 12-5 when Hudson is behind HP.

The last five meetings have played over.

It looks like I'm standing alone in this thread, but I like the Over pretty strong. Here is a repost from my other thread:

ATHLETICS/RANGERS Over 9.5 -105 ? The Rangers have taken the first two games of this series, reaching double digits in runs in each contest. In fact, the last 5 head-to-head meetings between these teams have sailed over the total, with an average total score of 12.6 runs per game. Also, the teams combined to use 8 relief pitchers in yesterday?s game, and Oakland?s closer Billy Koch worked 1.1 innings while throwing 33 pitches, making his availability tonight questionable. Granted, Zito is 14-3 with a 3.04 ERA, and Valdes has a respectable 3.74 ERA despite his 5-7 record. However, neither of these pitchers has a Complete Game this season, so these tired and lately ineffective bullpens will almost certainly be brought into play.

Good luck.

tough call on the total in my opinion, wish i knew what valdez looks like warming up in the pen. all indications are he is fine but as of friday, he was still in serious pain. tough to have much on the ball if your landing leg has a lot of discomfort in it. however he is possibly being showcased right now, so i'm sure he will go as long as possible-- i thought hudson had a tighter zone in his last game(prior vs. myers) though the game still ended up under--

rangers once again experimenting with the top of their lineup as mench and perry(who are by no means speed demons) are batting one and two
against zito,
perry is 5-11
young 5-14
juan 4-12
but
everett 1-12
a-rod 5-23
palmeiro 3-20
and 5 guys in a's lineup over .333 lifetime against valdez

kolb and cordero closing for texas, with kolb getting the nod tonight if the situation arises(according to narron)..
i'd take zito if forced to-- and definitely a good point about these bullies that eugene brought up!!!!!!!!!
