Astros acquired LHP Scott Kazmir from the Athletics for C Jacob Nottingham and RHP Daniel Mengden.
Kazmir enters the Astros rotation after delivering a 2.38 ERA, 1.085 WHIP, and 101/35 K/BB ratio in 109 2/3 innings for Oakland. His fantasy stock may take a little hit in the move to a more power-friendly park, but it's a terrific baseball move for Houston. Nottingham and Mengden weren't necessarily considered top prospects before the 2015 season, though they've both been showing positive signs of development in the lower levels of the minor leagues. More rebuilding pieces for the constantly-rebuilding A's.
