So, you guys think it's a good idea if families gamble away their kids college fund in Vegas? Seriously... he didn't say Vegas sucks, or Vegas is bad - Vegas is a symbol as much as anything, and the comment makes sense and is valid. Maybe he shouldn't have said it, but the indignation shown out there, and in a gambling forum - where many people have done just that - is pretty weak.
But then, with about three or four of you, it wouldn't matter what he said, you'd rip it, so, this is just another day in some rather sad lives, in many respects, IMO, FWIW, JMO, WWJD.

So, Obama doesn't have a right to his opinion, and right to say his opinion? And you're saying that his opinion - as a leader for the country - that a family shouldn't gamble away their children's college funds, they should use money they can afford to use for gambling, is wrong in some way? I thought you respected personal responsibility, and prudent fiscal responsibility? It's responsible and something people should strive for and respect to gamble away your children's college funds?
I would think that you, as a staunch conservative who has kids, would respect this opinion. I'll bet you would if a conservative had said it, though...
