Sales of handguns, rifles and ammunition have surged in the last week, according to gun store owners around the nation who describe a wave of buyers concerned that an Obama administration will curtail their right to bear arms.

?He?s a gun-snatcher,? said Jim Pruett, owner of Jim Pruett?s Guns and Ammo in northwest Houston, which was packed with shoppers on Thursday.

The fact that so many Americans fear the Obama/Biden Administration will take their guns from them only proves one thing. The gun lobby's influence is alive and well and organizations like the NRA are getting their message out.

The problem is the NRA needs an enemy. Just a couple of years ago, it was John McCain. Now it's Barack Obama. Everyone knows the NRA wins by creating the perception that politicians are gun grabbers. If Obama and Biden both became lifetime members and vocal supporters of the NRA tomorrow, the NRA would just find another enemy because it's fear that drives their membership.

I'm an avid hunter but gun loons like the guy in the Youtube video who refer to their assault weapons as their babies are scary.

Please, if you own a gun and are worried about someone talking it away from you, you shouldn't own one. carter & clinton ... two presidents I didn't vote for... they didn't take away your guns ??????? I have family members that are gun owners, farmers, hunters, sport and protection...one is a nra member/ ret police. they voted for Obama... why the fear ? I can't believe the moronic fear, from free Americans... grow a pair !
