By the way, don't you find it a bit odd that while you shovel the full blame on Republicans here for their tactics that EVERY time BHO is seen speaking the one common thing says is "I will not negotiate on this". Doesn't matter if it's the ACA, debt ceiling or where they are having lunch that day. He is not gonna negotiate.
Last time I checked he was president, not king.
Like it or not the Dems hold as much, if not more ownership on this than the Reps do.

The Affordable Health Care Act was passed by both houses of Congress, signed by the President and passed by the Supreme Court. It is the law of the land. Period, end of story. If Republicans don't like it, they can introduce legislation to get rid of it - that's how a democracy works.
The national debt and national budget were created by Congress. It's now up to Congress to pay the bills they have run up over the past two centuries. Period, end of story.
There's nothing to negotiate on either subject.

Giving gay people the same civil rights is not "Gay Loving" same as the thinking of allowing them to be teachers, basketball players, or camp instructors. It's called love for people and compassion for others.
Not all liberals are pot smoking deadbeats, just like not all conservatives hard working, squeaky clean people.
Just like any other hot button topic, Gay Rights ... WTF. How about Human Rights?
I have conflicting views on this
Gays should have the same rights as the rest of society. However my views on this in the Armed Forces differ. I have had no problem with Alternative Life Style Choices while serving. However the the rules in accordance with the UCMJ are so difficult to interpret
There are issues where Gay and Lesbian Commanders have asked their subordinates opinions on the Same Sex issue, where troops have opted to offer no opinion based on their religious beliefs. Or opinions based on them. This has led to being relieved of duty, demotions and other UCMJ punishments
My belief on this is, if Gay Members of the Armed Services want acceptance and tolerance, they also have to be prepared of other Soldiers views, even if the 2 groups disagree. It is hard to change almost 300 years of Military Tradition.

We have evolved by being smarter, we just don't believe things as being true just because we are told it's true. Maybe science or personal interaction has changed this train of thought.
For example the country is far more tolerant and accepting of gay culture, even though the Bible shuns gays, it's a world where gays can come out and not be victimized for the most part.
That is just one example of how the people in the country are evolving.
Just a few ways that we have evolved;
We are taller than we used to be.
We are more resistant to disease.
We are more advanced technologically.
We live longer
and what is probably going to be your favorite way Hedgey, we will soon be of a darker complexion. All of us will be like a Sienna-orange color.
Women are easier.
